This restaurant is in a great location. Parking is easy to find as well! The first time I walked by this place was to get thai tea while doing some window shopping. Very refreshing! The second time I came I got thai food to go! I was bummed that Pad-See-Iw was not part of their lunch special but I go the drunken noodle! I wish their was more noodles is that dish but the vegetables were still delicious! The special comes with a soup or salad and an egg roll.

While the food was tasty, flavors were there, read the other reviews about spice levels. Spice Level 10 was at a Spice Level 0 — I understand if it happens once, but this has now happened twice. Chili Pepper — Pizza red pepper flakes, ground up red pepper was not available, which was strange I love Thai food for it’s spice so this place was extremely disappointing.

I went there this week after not having Thai food for a very long time. Atmosphere is nice, and the customer service(waitresses) was good. I was just REALLY grossed out/disappointed to find a long hair not only in my curry, but also in my coconut milk soup. It wasn’t just on top, it was in the food. The cooks should be wearing hair nets all the time. I’m sure that was most likely the problem. Never going there again!

Love coming here. Haven’t had a bad food or service. I have had better Thai however this Thai is good and definitely a second to my favorite Thai restaurant. Their pad Thai is delicious and the crispy spring rolls. Must eat them!

This is like an upgraded hole in the wall. Great quality, a little persistent service, but focusing on the food. The coconut soup was so good! The flame is cool but be careful not to overlook your meat okay? Promise me? It was all wonderful of an experience. Thank you! I hope to return here to do a full photo capture of my experience. Until next time!

We often order Thai Food Delivery from Ocean Thai restaurant via – and we are SO thankful that they deliver! Not sure if the restaurant themselves does, but it’s nice to get a change from the status quo pizza and Mexican restaurant delivery in North County… cooking on weeknights has proven to be a major challenge in our house. LOL! *NOTABLESTUFF* BATONSHRIMP — Fun appetizer to order — shrimp are skewered stretched out, then battered and fried. Mini shrimp pops! WONTONSOUP — Order this when you’re feeling under the weather and add some fresh Thai chilis to it! HOT&SOURSOUP ^^See above. GLASSNOODLESALAD(Yum Woon Sen) — Order this and keep it close to cool your mouth off :) PAPAYASALAD(Som Tum) ^^ See above. KABOCHACURRY — This is a great dish for vegans and vegetarians. Tons of veg, plus you can request extra. Kabocha squash is perfect for chilly nights! BASIL&GARLIC(Phad Ga-prao) — I like to order this with chicken and brown rice, and I just cannot resist the extra veggie option! DRUNKENNOODLES — Always a homerun, and a great dish to order for those beginning connoisseurs as it includes things pretty much everyone loves: Giant noodles, mushrooms, egg, tomato and bean sprouts. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like this one! Spice levels are very inconsistent here and I always order fresh green chilis and dried red chilis on the side… Ocean Thai is a yummy place to eat, but as far as my love of unadulterated spice goes, Thai Table still reigns supreme… but they don’t deliver [yet] ;)

Hands down my favorite Thai place in Oceanside ! I have yet to find a Thai place as good as here. My usual order is pad Thai, papaya salad, and Tom yum soup! Oh and I really like the mango sticky rice here, but it’s a little pricey!

They get 5 stars just for filling my wine glass to the top! LOL no but seriously… fast, clean, friendly, and my favs are the fresh rolls and the pad-see-ew. They also have an app that you can get VIP specials, coupons, and digital punch card.

I had the drunken noodles, pad thai, and hot and sour soup there. Pad thai and hot and sour soup were awesome. Not too crazy about drunken noodles even though it was still tasteful. Service was fine and I like that they ask you how spicy you want it before they make it.

I been coming here for years. I met the owner in college, thats how I’ve heard of her restaurants. The food is okay, thus i have noticed that the quality in ingredients has decreased and the food portions. They no longer serve rice bowls, single portions now. BIGBIGBIG for a restaurant is CUSTOMERSERVICE, THEYLACKCUSTOMERSERVICE! The waitresses are rude, and give you a mean look if you request anything additional or a special request. Also, language barrier. My last visit(two weeks ago) I order the Glass noodle soup, she brought me the beef soup. She brought menu out and asked me to show her what I wanted . Other than that, this location for my hygiene standards is great. The other location is older.

My family’s favorite spot. I have never dined in at the other location, but I have done take out. I always prefer this location for both. The food is fresh and delicious. The staff are friendly and attentive, and I’ve enjoyed every dish I’ve tried so far.

One of the best Thai places!!!’ Too bad it’s in California and I only get to come a few times a year. Everything was fantastic and definitely exceeded my expectation. From the presentation of the food, decors inside and service, all was outstanding. I also like how they have a shareable size for appetizers including soup. Come out in a large bowl with a soup for everyone to scoop. Wait wasn’t long and food came out relatively quick. They also have many levels of spices you can choose. I had the green spicy curry and it was delicious. Veggies were fresh and spicy enough for my taste. I wish there’s a Thai spot like this in my area.

I have always loved coming here! Such good food. My most recent visit this week was a disappointment. First of all the staff was rude and not very welcoming. Short with words and slow service. Secondly, the good this time was mediocre. I love Thai food and this just didn’t hit the spot the way it used to. Lastly, in the middle of my meal I watched a huge(at least over an inch) cockroach walk right into the kitchen, What happened to this place? I miss the way it was,

Some of the best Thai food in town! I’m critical when it comes to food, and have tried dozens of Thai restaurants all over San Diego county… and this is still one of the best I’ve found in North County. Their curry dishes, sea food, noodle dishes, or whatever you enjoy… You will LOVE it here! Prices are good too, and service is prompt and polite. Me and many family members have been coming here religiously for years… and we still try new Thai restaurants, but keep coming back here again and again — just great food! Warning: They tend to make their food spicier then most, so on a scale of 1 – 10, if you normally like a 5… order a «3». If you normally order a 3, then order your spiciness a «2».

Located in a strip mall along Vista Way in Oceanside. This Thai food restaurant is next to the a decent sized cupcake shop and at the time of writing this review, the front of house has construction. Dine in or take away the food in my experience has always been good. I highly recommend the Drunkin Noodles and Lemon Grass Soup. The Thai Iced Tea is also pretty good with either option of Boba or not. If you have kids, high chairs are available with a small children’s menu. The Kids Chow Mien is something that seems to always be a hit. Layout is pretty standard two or grouped four seating. Only inside seating is available. Ocean Thai is a nice restaurant, the service is good and and the food is above par. Overall Food: 4 – 5 Drink: 3 – 5 Service: 4 – 5 Coming back: Yes

We eat at a LOT of Thai places. This was right up there. I happen to be pretty spoiled when it comes to Thai food, and even this white girl likes it spicy. So if I ask for a 7 or 8 you better produce cause I am going to know! After a long day at a car dealership and tire shop I was just a teensy bit hungry. The Panang Curry was delish! The boy-toy got spicy basil(10 hot) and loved it. Portion size is largish and when he needed extra rice it came lickety split. They have an interesting salt water aquarium and lots of room. It wasn’t very busy when we were there and the staff were very attentive with out being overpowering. And all smiles. Gotta love that. If we go back to Oceanside we will definitely look them up; suggest you do too.

We came here for a quick dinner. We walked in on a weeknight and were promptly seated. When visiting Thai places, I typically get the same orders. This visit I ordered my usual and I also tried other items that other people ordered. –Pad Thai –Pad See Ew –Tom Kha –Pork Ribs I ordered a 5 out of 10 on the pad see ew and the tom kha. Wasn’t even spicy. Has my tongue been immune to some spice? Hmmm interesting… Perhaps next time I’ll go up a notch. I felt the noodles lack flavor, or maybe it was just more spice? The pork ribs were salty so I could only eat a couple of them. The service was good, although the girls could smile a bit more. The food came out quickly which we appreciated since we were starving and it was passed 8pm. Tons of parking and located in the same shopping center as Toys R Us and across from Barnes and Nobles.

I tried a little bit of pad thai for the first time a few days before eating here, and it was delicious! So I came here for the first time with my mom. I had pad thai, she had drunken noodles, and we both had the sampler appetizers and deserts. This place was so good! We actually came back the next day and I had drunken noodles, she had a shrimp curry special, and we both had papaya salad and coconut ice cream. I’m so glad I finally gave Thai food a chance, it’s amazing. The waiter/waitress will ask you what spiciness level between 0 to 10 you want in some of the meals. I personally would recommend a 3. It’s still spicy enough but it doesn’t take away from the flavor. Also, this place is very clean and all their tables seat up to 4 people. Btw, not recommended for people with peanut allergies.
