Blake is an excellent engineer and producer. On the repeated occasions I’ve worked with him, Blake has always brought constructive input and a focus on the end product. My band recently finished recording a pop/​reggae album. We looked far and wide for a mastering company that could produce a clean, radio quality sound.

Mercury Mastering definitely stands out from the competition, not just in industry standard equipment, but in talent as well. Blake has the ability to take any mix and bring out the best in it to make it sound as commercially viable as possible. Prior to sending my mix to Blake, the biggest struggle my engineer and I were facing was getting the mix to sound punchy, making my vocals stand out and be the focal point of the song, and also eliminating the harshness of the mix at loud volumes. We decided to send it over to Blake and lo and behold, all 3 of those problems were solved! It came back sounding absolutely amazing … punchy, loud, clean, bright, and clear at loud volumes.
This is the 3^rd project I’ve worked with Blake on, and I’ll definitely be coming back for my next one. Blake is extremely professional and such a nice guy to deal with. I highly recommend Mercury Mastering for all your mastering needs!

From our initial contact with Mercury Mastering, we could tell that Blake knew what he was doing. He was very responsive to all of our communications, guiding us through our second mastering project like we were beginners. It had been five years since we last had to have a CD mastered and a lot has changed in that time, so we were essentially beginners again. Blake was patient and helpful throughout the process, and even did all of the embedding of codes and information so that it would be ready for duplication.
Now to the sound … Blake achieved a cleanness, richness, and warmness that had been missing from the previous recordings. This recording has the appropriate loudness and balance along with a good punch.
Also, very importantly, Blake and Mercury Mastering got the mastering right the first time unlike the Bernie Grundman Studios where I had to send it back TWICE.
