From Cartoonist to Photographer, and everywhere in between

It all started when I was five years old. I loved to draw fish. I drew fish every moment I could, which was pretty often being that I was only five! I knew from a very early age that I would grow up to become an artist.

When I applied to college, it was almost unfair how easy it was to pick a major of study. I went to Adelphi University for a portfolio review and was immediately encouraged to apply for the Graphic Design program. I would start my formal education as a fine arts major and then apply to the very exclusive program in my sophomore year. During my first two years at Adelphi, I decided to explore other types of art. Photography classes weren’t offered in my high school, and I was always curious about photography. I’m what they call a technical and more mathematical minded artist, so I had a feeling I would be good at taking photographs. The first time I shot with my film camera, it felt incredibly natural.
