History

Established in 2012.

Jenny’s Jars was established in honor of the great art form of putting up food and as a tribute to Jen’s family history– generations of great canners that came before and passed down recipes.

Meet the Business Owner

Jen C.

Business Owner

Jen is an avid urban homesteader, canner, home-brewer, community organizer and human rights advocate currently working on her Ph.D. in anthropology. She loves bringing in fresh grown produce from her garden, local farmers, and garden co-ops and sharing it with friends and family by canning and preserving it using unique flavor combinations. Jen only uses the safest preservation methods and knows the science behind what she does to ensure that you are receiving the highest quality, freshest, and healthiest foods possible from Jenny’s Jars.

Jen loves to invent new recipes for the adventurous foodie but also recreates the proven and tried family recipes that have been passed down through the generations. If its safe to can, Jen will come up with a recipe for it! She especially loves special requests where her creativity can be put to work.

Jen’s recipes have been featured in the Huffington Post, SeriousEats.com, and in Little Shop Artisan Box Foodie Boxes and pop-up restaurant project.
