HRC Fertility

Front office staff is very unorganized and looses important documents pertaining to laboratory work ups. My husband and I were told by staff that they do NOT perform semen analysis by some staff and I was told by another lab that this was the only facility locally that did. I spoke to my ob/​gyn who said this was odd and stated they would fax over a lab order for a basic semen analysis and to call in 30 min to give staff time to receive it. 30 minutes later, I called (this is after being told previously the test is not performed here) and the receptionist stated the fax was received and I was able to book an appointment for my husband. My husband arrived to his appointment, sample in hand, and they told him they did not have any order from any doctors and tried to turn him away. I got on the phone, quite upset that my husband had a time sensitive sample in hand, and notified the receptionist that a lab order was received late last week which is how the appointment was booked. She suggested the order was sent to the wrong location… Fed up with the in-​competency, I contacted my ob/​gyn, explained the issue, yet again, and they faxes the same order, to the same location, immediately. The fac arrived within minutes while my husband stiod there and asked them what a coincidence it was that the second attempt of the fax transmission came to the «correct» location. Proof of insurance was shown and the sample was finally accepted. Long story short, the staff here is rude, disorganized and apparently does not know the procedures offered.

I have been working with Dr. Coffler and his staff for almost a year now and sadly our time has come to an end… but for a great reason! ;-) Dr. Coffler is patient and continues to keep your hopes up even though sometimes you feel down when things don’t go the way you want them to go. He is a glass half full kind of doctor and when you have to go through fertility, this is exactly who you need on your side. He reminds you that this is something you can’t control and that he will do everything he can to help you. His staff are also equally wonderful and I feel as if they all became a part of my family while I was there. Not having any family in the area, this was so important to me and it made this difficult experience that much easier. As happy as I am that everything has worked out for the best for my husband and I, it is bitter sweet to not see them all every few weeks. I know that I will continue to keep in touch with this amazing and sweet group of people for years to come! Thank you again to all of you!

I was so excited to start my journey with HRC fertility but now I’m feeling the complete opposite. I’m very disappointed in the experience I have had there. Their staff is very unorganized! They rarely return phone calls and the receptionist is very snotty on the phone. The email process is even worse. They were quick to get all of the proper testing done for my husband and I but its been over a month and we still don’t know either of our results. Very upset that I was wasted my time and money with them

The doctor is great! However he needs to hire a new staff. Coordinator is not organized and isn’t reliable. I always had to be emailing and calling her to get things done. Then I was told I was only 2 weeks pregnant. When in fact the day of the transfer the embryos had already hatched so I was actually 5 weeks not 2 when the pregnancy was confirmed. It’s bad that they are running this office to the ground!

This review is long over due. To make a long story short, Dr Coffler and his staff are beyond amazing. I had IVF done in December 2013 which was successful on the 1^st try. I know have a handsome 10 month baby boy and about to go back for baby #2. Dr Coffler is extremely knowledgeable, caring and honest. Everyone is nice and helpful; especially Carrissa, Irene and Angela. Thank you HRC Fertility Oceanside. See you soon!

As being somewhat old fashion i had some reservations about IVF to begin with. And long story short, I couldn’t imagine not doing the process now that I have my little munchkins. We will always in touch with HRC and staff at the Oceanside office as they help us build a family and complete a home!

I can’t tell you how grateful I am to have found Dr Coffler. After a difficult late term loss, I struggled with depression and infertility. When my husband and I decided it was time to move forward with medical intervention we initially looked onto a program offered through the military. We were shocked by the wait list and I knew my heart couldn’t take another year or more of waiting. So my search began! I went to «the best» center in San Diego only to be told that my AMH was so low that they would only agree to cycle me with donor eggs!!! I couldn’t imagine doing that without atleast trying with my own. Needless to say, I wanted a second opinion. I found Dr Coffler’s name floating around a military web forum (he offers great pricing to active duty) and I decided to call him for a consult. His staff was great and got me in within just days of my call. Dr Coffler was very honest with me about my chances with IVF but he was willing to give it a try! I wasn’t the easiest patient and even cancelled my first cycle. Looking back, I think it was out of fear… fear of it not working and fear of losing hope. Through it all, Dr Coffler was supportive and never made me fell like I was just a statistic. When I was ready, we cycled again on a protocol specifically for my condition. I’ll spare you the details but it wasn’t looking good. Dr Coffler was supportive and encouraged us to move forward even though I wanted to cancel again and try for «better» results. We decided to go for it and put our trust and our hearts in his hands. Well, it worked and as I sit here watching my 7 month old son sleep… I can tell you he’s only here becuase of Dr Coffler and I’ll be forever grateful that he didn’t let me quit on that cycle. I had high risk pregnancy with over 6 months of bedrest… he called me personally several times to check up and cheer me on! If you choose Dr Coffler, you’ll be in good hands!

Dr. Coffler is the most competent, compassionate physician I’ve ever known in a professional setting. He has such a kind, calming bedside manner & a great sense of humor which really helps when you’re full of anxiety and questions. If you have questions, he will email you back quickly. His staff is just as wonderful and responsive! They are offering some fabulous deals for San Diego residents right now & they have GREAT statistics.
