Fairy LiceMothers are dedicated to eliminating the persistent lice problem and educating the community on the use of safe and effective treatments.
We are 3 mothers who started our business in Oceanside, Long Island in early 2008 as an in-home lice removal service. Because of high demand for our quality service, we now have 3 store front locations in Oceanside and Deer Park, NY, Austin, TX and an in-home service in Staten Island, NY.
We are certified as head lice removal clinicians. We were trained by a non-profit lice research facility that conducts research on lice and lice products.
We use natural and safe products that do not contain any toxic chemicals. Our lice removal process is the Shepherd Method which is a strand by strand approach to ensure all nits are removed. Our prices include 2 follow-up rechecks. This is a crucial step to remain lice free. We remove the infestation during the lice treatment but going back to the same environment puts you at risk again. We make sure that you remain lice free.

Fairy LiceMothers was started by 3 mothers out of necessity. Our kids were constantly bringing home the dreaded lice letters from school. The parents of the community were frantic, no one knew what to look for or how to treat lice properly. Doctors would immediately prescribe a highly toxic chemical to kill lice but even with that product, that method was not working, not to mention how dangerous those products are. We decided to take this problem into our own hands and be available to our community to get this problem under control. We were trained and certified in the Shepherd Method of lice and nit removal and Fairy LiceMothers was born.

It is my nature to help people and I feel that I can be available for my community to help families get through this devastating crisis. I have 16 years of Customer Service experience. I am accustomed to working in high pressure, stressful situations, and I have a way of easing people’s minds when they are in a panic.
