This Angelo’s has been here for years and for good reason. The food is pretty decent and the prices are outstanding for what you get. This spot is usually busy so yes the wait can be a little tough. Some of my favorites are the burgers with no onions, chili cheese fries, French toast and the gyros. This may not be the cleanest place and if you don’t believe me just take a look on the floor behind the counter. That’s way I’m giving them three stars, I mean come on man a restaurant is suppose to be clean even if it is fast food.

I don’t have high expectations for a drive thru burger joint, but this place is the PIT! My burger was one of the worst I’ve ever paid for. Never again!

The breakfast was good and the amount i payed was good but the one problem i had was the hash brown. .its like as if they cut it thin so they can cook it fast and look like a lot just cause it covers the plate and even with the time it took to get the food the hash browns were still raw in side… can you pleas find a way to get tnat resolved so i can keep goving you a 5 star…

3 stars only because my chicken fried steak breakfast was drowned in gravy even after I asked for it not to be. I will go back though.

Not great. I waited in the drive thru for over 10 minutes. The person behind me literally backed out and left. I had 3 burgers and a fry. Plus a shake. The burgers had hard, overgrilled buns. They were crunchy. The meat had no real flavor, no seasoning. The dressing was bland. Fries were very good and so was the shake. Also fresh avocado was nice, but overall it definitely was not worth the price of $ 21 for this meal. Slow, expensive, little flavor, crunchy buns. I was so looking forward to this place too. Also, the place looks gross. It’s like a rip off of in n out burger. Except dirty and run down. It needs a face lift badly. All the stores do. I don’t get it… I asked about the guy leaving. They said, yeah it happens pretty often. Wow! They don’t even want to try to go faster, they just let customers go? Ridiculous. I would have been better off ordering from the dollar menu at McDonald’s. I really wish we had. If you want food fries and shakes and you have time to spend, OK. I didn’t try the Mexican or Greek food, WTF btw? We’ve got a million Mexican restaurants, how about you guys just do good burgers like the name implies… But burgers, stay away!

The food here is the only place in my life were the plate of food is larger than the picture!

Just by the looks of this place would turn many people away. I’m not sure how a business with a dilapidated building can remain in business. Soon as I walked in I’m kind of like should I leave but I was so hungry I decided to order. I asked the girl what was in the hamburger she said«what do you mean?» Well that didn’t go well just hold the thousand islands dressing which seems to be a staple of any local burger joint. I went to use the restroom and it smelled like the building looked at this point I’m thinking why did I come in here. I’m chilling watching kick boxing on tv when she calls my order and I notice I’m the only one in here. I go to get ketchup and there are flies on the tip of the spout that totally grossed me out and again I’m thinking should I eat this burger but dammit I’m so hungry oh well if I get sick it’s my fault but I definitely won’t come back.

Just had lunch at Angelos, the girls at the register was very patient and sweet, we ordered a chicken salad, chicken strips, hamburger combo and Fried Zucchini. I will start with the salad it was huge salad really fresh and yummy and their ranch dressing delicious! The chicken strips are fresh and really good and they come with homemade French fries that are not frozen! I didn’t try my daughter hamburger but it looked really good. Now for my favorite part the fried zucchini these zucchini were lightly coated and fried and not greasy! I loved them!!! And they serve them with their delicious ranch dressing. These are hands down one of the most delicious fried zucchini sticks I have ever had.

Angelo’s is great for fast food. They have a huge variety and their service is great too. Prices are reasonable and food is always fresh. Lately I am fixed on the gyro meat a la carte. Good amount of just the gyro meat with onions and Greek yogurt. Runs about $ 6. I have tried their salads and burgers and everything is tasty. They now have a nice outside patio too.

Angelo’s is where we go when we’re looking to be gluttonous and indulge in a gigantic yet perfectly satisfying breakfast. The food isn’t even anything special, it’s just always consistent and you get exactly what you’re looking for. I tend to stick with Tony’s Special: eggs, hash browns, and buttery toast and my boyfriend gets the French toast combo. We don’t really need to eat until dinner after that!

This location is horrible compared to the location to the south next to Outer Limits. I’ve been to the other location probably 50 times for breakfast burritos and gyros. I’ve stopped by twice for breakfast burritos at this location and they were just horrible, plus their salsa isn’t any good. Do yourself a favor and drive a few miles to the south and hit up their other spot.

The food is plain! No real flavor in the burgers! Fries are alright, rather have in&out. I won’t come back rather go to another place. To be honest

Over priced breakfast for fast food style customer service. Ordered a Spanish omelette and all it had inside was salsa… When I asked fora side of meat after my meal arrived they charged me extra. Very disappointed in the service, won’t be returning to this location.

The first time we went here it was okay, but the flies outside were ridiculous and the place did not seem very clean. I had to ask to have my table cleaned and the employee acted like I was bothering him. This time, I ordered a classic gyros. There was only ONE slice of tomato on the whole sandwich and it was the lousy end cut. My husband had fries with his burger and they were greasy and limp. The soda fountain did not put enough Syrup in the drink. The bathrooms were also poor. This establishment has been here for years and is not what it once was.

They have a huge variety of foods and drinks where you can’t go wrong with. Prices are decent. Husband had the Sculpin Ipa. Last time I ate here I got sick I had a hamburger and French fries… I don’t know if they didn’t change the oil they cook with frequently or what but big turn off. When we recently went my husband said the food was alright, still the same from back in the day. I didn’t eat anything I wasn’t hungry.

Not cheap, hit or miss. This is one of those greek-mexican-american shops that flood Southern Cal. This chain is pretty good but prices are very high… it might be worth it one time, not worth it another. Nothing is great, mostly OK. I prefer Pit Stop, also in this category, but cheaper. Kids meal were five dollars or more. Some just too much food, others just not good tasting. Breakfast burrito to dry. Carne asada burrito was small compared to taco shops, and had some bad tasting yellow cheese… who puts yellow cheese in a carne asada burrito unless added separate. Fries are good. Place is confused whether it wants to be good or bad. Place dirty, old feeling.

Angelo’s is such a great North County SD local version of Denny’s. There’s breakfast, lunch, dinner, and no matter which location you go it’s on PCH that’s awesome for some afternoon lunch after being at the beach all day! If I’m not in the mood for a burger and fries, I usually get the fish taco combo! OMG! It’s really good! Downside is drive thru is kinda crazy and not really that fast, but at least you know you’re good will be fresh out of the fryer hot!

One thing I genuinely love about(this) Angelo’s is the tall, happy man standing outside of the establishment, holding an enormous burger. That’s probably the only aesthetically pleasing aspect of this location. Food’s alright! …if you purchase it before 5pm. I’ve found that the later you arrive, best expect the food’s going to be comprised of ingredients and fixings that have been sitting around all afternoon. Oi vey, ordered some chicken strips around 7pm and were those suckers ever dry and bland. Sad panda. Milkshakes at night make me saddest of all! I’ve been told that they’re made of real ice cream and that’s freaking sweet, but when you hand me a drink that is the exact consistency of milk and tastes a heck of a lot LIKE milk… don’t call it a milkshake nor charge me like that’s what it is. Breakfast items during breakfast hours are superb! Drive-thru system’s wonky. 2 lanes to choose from, but don’t expect this to mean your food will be fast! Wait time can travel into the 8 minutes region, if not more. The staff is nice enough though I had 3 different people inquire if I wanted«ranch or ketchup» for my chicken before a 4th person finally handed me my order and actually put the condiments in my bag. Give credit for that many people checking up on me during my waiting. (I don’t ever dine inside, so can’t comment on how grody that potentially is. Or maybe it’s nice? I don’t know.) That gyro sandwich though… That’s no bust! If you try anything at Angelo’s let it be that!

Any visit to the brother-in-law in Oceanside is not complete until we’ve been to Angelo’s for a gyro. It’s tradition. I know they have a varied menu and tons of items from which to choose, but our trip always, always, always centers on getting a gyro with no tomatoes. They’re consistent, always filled to the brim with tons of flavorful gyro meat and tasty tzatziki sauce. I’ve honestly never had a bad gyro there… ever. From any of the Angelo’s locations; all good. We’ve been getting our gyro sandwich fix for years, and have no intention of dropping this Oceanside tradition. :)
