AMI specializes in testing for indoor air quality contaminats including mold, bacteria, asthma and allergen triggers, and other volatile organic compounds (VOC’s). We service residential, commercial, and industrial properties, watercraft, aircraft, personal and public vehicles. Our clientele includes owners, tenants, managers, financiers and insurers of large and small properties in the private sector as well as educational institutions and government agencies. History

Established in 2001.

AMI was originally established as a sole-​proprietorship by Bill McLeod. The original name in 2001 was Advanced Mold Inspections (AMI) but that was changed in 2005 to AMI Environmental Testing, LLC as the Company grew in size and began offering a broader range of indor air quality testing services other than mold. Today AMI services all of San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino, Los Angeles, and Orange Counties.

When I started AMI in 01 there was only one other Certified Mold Inspector in the State of California. Since then thousands more have jumped on the mold bandwagon, most of which are in the mold removal business with no actual accredited certifications for mold inspections or indoor air quality assessments.
