I had a problem with my radio and went to another Acura dealer. They wanted to charge me a lot of money to fix it. I came to your dealership and one of your service people Alison was wonderful. She immediately helped me, went out to my car and fixed it right away. I will always come back to your place for service and recommend all my friends that own Acuras to do the same.

I had my car serviced at this place TWICE in less than two months. The first time was early January. My advisor was a guy named Brian. He was not friendly, and was very «to the point» when informing me as the customer. He also was not happy to realize when I first arrived that I didn’t purchase my vehicle at Ocean, but Ramsey. Aren’t all Acura’s covered under the warranty. this was the first red flag. My vehicle was in the place for a period of about 13 days– one part needing to be replaced turned into 3 parts. Finally when I was informed I could pick up the vehicle nothing was explained when I arrived. I asked about what was done and was told to reference the «multi-​point inspection checklist booklet» provided to me. Although unacceptable, I had no choice but to do that since Brian did not feel it was his job to explain. I found myself back at the service department this past week when I heard more noises in my car. I made it a point not to deal with Brian and request another advisor. Well it turned out another part was needed and ordered. Throughout the 7 days that Acura had my car Walter checked in and phoned me every day to update me what was going on (thank you Walter). He also was patient with applying my tire warranty that was not being shown in the computer. It all went downhill when I picked up the vehicle at around 625pm last Wednesday. Well, all the advisors were gone so I dealt with the cashier. This lady, whom I did not get the name, was VERY nasty. She told me I owed $ 204.00 when the reality was everything was under warranty. She then huffed and puffed and phoned my advisor Walter who had already left. Turns out it was a simple mistake and the paperwork was mis-​stippled or something. She hung up the phone and was going on and on bad mouthing how the «advisors should learn how to do their job, etc» She then proceeded to say she shouldn’t be releasing my vehicle because the warranty company paperwork wasn’t attached and said «just sign here.» The best was when I went to my car and had a thought of asking what tire was replaced. When I returned inside and asked the question she was annoyed and told me she has no clue. Instead of hearing «thank you for servicing with us» or «Il have the service advisor call you,» I heard complaint after complaint and dealt with people who seemed as if they hate their job. The only positive BOTH times was the lady who answered the phones and made both of my appointments. She is the only one you can give a compliment to because she was patient and phenomenal. This all leaves me to wonder… where are the personable people anymore in this world? In such a business you have to learn how to deal with customers who may not know about cars and their parts. I hope others do not experience what I have.

Not a great experience. Made an appointment a week out not informed to plan as though I wouldn’t have my car for 2 days, provided loaner but still effects my schedule to find the time to get back there.
Husband had to call bc I didn’t feel I was being accommodated, bc in a woman? He spoke to the manager, who got my car done in faster fashion.
Charged $ 114 for diagnostic, if part of warrentee, you don’t have to pay. … but I’ve NEVER heard of this practice.
***Pink marks on my WHITE CAR && a $ 45 check taken from my visor (which I should’ve taken out by forgot). When I called 15 minutes after I left to report this, the woman in service coyote care less!

I have a few issues with the service and sales. First, a general issue though. Acura is supposed to be a luxury brand vehicle and dealership. Yet, the experience with both the sales and service sometimes feels like you are dealing with a used car salesman who only cares about getting as much money from you as he can.
I am currently in a lease from this dealership. I have been having some issues with the electronics in the car, specifically the push start engine doesn’t start the majority of the time, a grinding sound coming from the clutch and the bluetooth speakers being full of static. So I call to take the car in to be looked at. They told me three issues would require 3 diagnostics, costing $ 450 before they even determined what the issues were. Are you kidding me? I called the Acura on Rt 18 in East Brunswick and they told me $ 119.
Second thing, I am approaching the end of the lease and am looking to either buy the car out (I’m way over mileage) or work out a deal to get into a new lease. I said I didn’t want to put anything down. My qualms with buying the car out are the issues I’ve been having with the electrical stuff. Obviously I will have the whole thing checked out prior to buying. I was very surprised how little they were willing to work with me on getting into a new lease. Again, after crunching some numbers, they came up with an offer that was extremely high after telling me they would be able to eliminate some of my mileage overage and roll the rest into a new lease. I’m pretty good at math so I know where the numbers should be. They weren’t even close. I called the Acura in East Brunswick, gave them the info, they came back $ 50/​month cheaper as a starting point.
I think the East Brunswick location is more customer friendly and not as money hungry.

If I had my choice they would get no stars… I’m appalled at the dishonest treatment I received at this dealership. I would avoid walking in there at all costs. I have been leasing cars for over 30 years but I was «had» at Acura of Ocean. Total lack of integrity and respect and honesty. Very disappointing. Run don’t walk to anywhere else!!!

Terrible. The manager sits like a mafia don asking you what you would pay for the car. Instead of telling how much the car is.

I am currently on my second Acura TL and am very satisfied with the vehicle. My second experience was WAY better than my first. I have referred several friends and family there and they say the same thing. The service can be spotty. I tend to tolerate the so-​so service because it’s such a great car but am very disappointed in the service hours of operation. It takes a while to get in for oil changes and since I am a Realtor, I can’t schedule that far in advance due to my crazy schedule. Why don’t they schedule appointments in the afternoon? Seems odd. And Saturday schedules are tough to get as well. We have a Lexus and I have to say that that is ALWAYS a pleasure having that car serviced. Easy to get in and out and a piece of cake to schedule. I’m due for a new TL and am thinking of the new TLX but they have some tough competition with Lexus this go round.

This is the worst service dept that I have ever seen. I have been there three times. Shame on me. Only because of distance to my house. Big mistake. These people are very rude from the top down. They have to rethink their way of doing business. Don’t go there for service or sales. You have been warned !! Would not waste another minute with these guys. Wasted enough time already. I heard the we’ll fix the problem to many times. Every time I go there the same crap. Good luck !

I have been going to Acura of Ocean for over 6 years and have brought 2 different cars to them. From my first visit the service staff was second to none. Extremely friendly, knowledgable and helpful I felt like I made friends immediately. When I was ready to purchase my second Acura I had the same experience with the sales staff as I did with service. I chose a vehicle on the showroom floor and was instantly accommodated with a test drive and easy purchase process. I get reminder and follow up calls after every visit and look forward to my many more years using Acura of Ocean.

Awful service department. They are crooks. Take your car elsewhere!

I brought my car in for a recall and asked them to check some electronics in two areas. They wanted to charge me a diagnostic fee for each area of electronics.
They also had to keep my car overnight which was completely unexpected. the only somewhat saving grace was that they provided a loaner because of the recall condition.

These guys really are great. I would recommend this dealer as the only Acura dealer to go in this area. The customer service is excellent and they really do their best to make sure the customer is happy. I will be coming here for all of my services and repairs in the future.

Rude, obnoxious, and horrible service department on top of it all. This is my second time bringing our 09 MDX in and when I inquired about what was covered under the certified pre-​owned warranty, the service writers answer to me is I should know. Why should I know? I don’t work for Acura! Then proceeds to tell me he would call me with details…
Two days go by, no word, I call at 12:40pm and am told call back we are at lunch. Then at 1:30 the general manager (rude) calls me and is lecturing me on why haven’t I brought the loaner back? Told him I was still waiting to hear what was happening with my car.
Needless to say, nothing was done.
Wouldn’t recommend this dealer to anyone. I have a BMW and Mercedes and both of those dealers and service departments are a pleasure to work with. This is ridiculous. Worst customer service I have ever experienced from a car dealership.

Mr Mark Rediker! The car was sold on 9÷29÷12. I am no longer, and never will be an Acura owner. Of this I am sure.

Went in to look at a specific car, lazy ass salesman would not even get out of chair to show it to me, just kept wanting more info from me, finally he said, well go look, its in the parking lot somewhere, terrible service, every time i asked him a question he would answer with a question. Not recommended. 0 stars.
