Antonio’s Pizza Deli and Grill

The pizza was good, but they got my order wrong. Strike one. We’re from out of town and ordered out the next night, too, so decided to try them again for other things. Yet again, they got the order wrong. Strike two and they’re out. They don’t get another try with us. Won’t go back to them. Also, the prices for items other than pizzas were way too high.

I cannot give this place any credit. The service was awful they took over 3 hours to deliver our food while telling us 45 min to an hour. Then when we would check in, they were rude and told us «only 10 more minutes». Also told us the delivery driver left her phone so they couldn’t check on it, but then she called from her cell phone for directions. I’m not sure why they felt the need to continuously lie to paying customers. We ordered 3 pizzas and 30 wings and when they finally got here around 11pm, the pizza was soggy and would not even scrape off of the paper and the wings were too undercooked to eat, even though we ordered well done wings! It has been a few days and I still have not been able to talk to a manager to make a complaint. Bad service and bad food!!!

This place is horrible!!! They told us 45 mins for a cheese pizza. We so far have waited 2.5 hours and no pizza yet!!! They keep telling us 9 more minutes. Avoid this place at all cost!!! They do not know how to run a business. You would be better off going to the grocery store and making a pizza from scratch. I could make that faster then the time we have waited for our pizza. We will never go back!!!

Seriously guys just because your the only game in town doesn’t mean you have to suck.
SUPER slow even to pickup. Like 30 – 40 minutes to fire up a few pies. You get shot for that in New York.
Woman answering phones a few beers short of six pack. We ordered– X1 cheese pizza, x1 pepperoni&assuage pizza, X1 white pizza. All same size.
We got one pepperoni pizza, one sausage pizza and one small white pizza. No way we were waiting around for them to fix.
Oh, and that cost us $ 59! LOL!
Pizza is not bad, nice thin crust. A bit greasy but not at all a bad pie. Service totally blows.
Be back next year. I’ll give you guys a second chance.

We called in for a pizza on a Friday, so we expected the 1 hr we were quoted. Upon arrival at the 1 he mark we were told «Your pizza is in the oven». Every 20 min we were told the same thing. Apparently, it takes an hour and 10 min to cook a pizza in their ovens. In case it isn’t obvious, they were lying. If they had told us the truth up front I could have spent some money in the bar while I waited.
The pizza was pretty good.

I had the Philly cheesesteak and tiramisu and both were good, although nothing spectacular. I tried to call ahead and order a take out order but I kept getting sent to voicemail. Instead I ordered at the counter and waited on the patio. My small order took about 30 minutes to arrive. When I received my order a small family who had ordered ahead of me still hadn’t received their food. While the food is good and prices are fair I was unimpressed by the wait time when the restaurant wasn’t even busy

We did pick up and the pizza and garlic knots were very good. Always hard to fine good places when away from home, glad to have found this one.

We vacationed at Ocean Isle this past week. My husband and I took a nap with our 5 year old son and woke up around 7:30 and wanted to do something simple for dinner because our little boy was hungry and still tired. I began searching for good pizza places in the area because we love to try small businesses rather than chains like dominoes. We found Antonios on Unilocal and despite a couple bad reviews we decided to give them a try. I called them around 7:30. We ordered a cheese pizza. Simple. The man on the phone was nice, he didn’t give me a time frame but based on reviews I was expecting up to an hour. At 9:15 my husband suggested I call to make sure we weren’t forgotten about. The same guy answered the phone and said it was coming out of the oven then-​Within 3 minutes he was at our door with our pizza. I really think they forgot about our small order. If it’s a 2 hour wait, you should seriously tell your customers that you are that busy. No one wants to feed their kid dinner at 9:30 pm. The pizza tasted fine but we should have ordered Dominoes, at least the service would have been better.

I was not pleased. We ordered the fugetaboutit (Italian) sub which cost $ 10.50 for a whole bunch of dryness, I’m pretty sure the ingredients we’re not fresh. We also ordered chicken wings which were pretty good, side of blue cheese was probably the wateriest dressing I’ve ever seen. Finally, my partner ordered the chubby burger which was completely ruined when he found a hair in his sandwich.

NOTE: This review is for their delivery pizza only, not the full brick and mortar location. Being down at OIB a couple days before the annual Oyster Festival started up, we decided to make it easy and order pizza on Thursday night. Most of our choices we pulled up however (except for the usual chains) didn’t deliver so we went with Antonio’s and glad we did.
Pros are that the large pizzas are HUGE, much larger than normal delivery pizza. Delivery time was acceptable. The taste was great! They looked and tasted more like a «homemade» style pizza instead of a chain type pizza. The crust was not very thin but then again not doughy, somewhere in between so it should please most tastes. It kept well and tasted very good the next day as leftovers.
Cons: We ordered a pepperoni/​ground beef and a supreme, but they gave us meat lovers instead of a supreme (but tasted good regardless of the disappointment). It is not the cheapest delivery pizza but then again you get a lot of pizza for your money.
Bottom line: Great tasting delivery pizza, huge sized large pizzas. No speedbumps with delivery time although they did get one of our pizzas wrong. A bit more expensive than the chains but you get a lot of pizza for your money as well as quality. Would use them again if wanting delivery pizza in OIB area.

Ordered delivery from here last night and the food was great! I had a Philly cheesesteak sub & husband had a «Fuhgeddaboutit» sub. Philly was LOADED w/​toppings & cheese and all the toppings on both seemed very fresh. Also had an order of garlic knots which were great too. ⁴⁄₅ stars is due to they seemed pretty disorganized when we called in our order, we were asked to hold multiple times throughout ordering which was a little scary, made us feel like our order would be incorrect and we almost hung up the last time we were asked to hold. Very glad we didn’t! One hour for delivery which was not surprising as it was a Saturday night.

Huge pizzas. They are New York style with a very thin crust and doughy around the edge cut into large triangles. It wasnt the best pizza, but they took our
certificates and the service was great. We got 3 pizzas for takeout and they hit the spot for everyone with a lot leftover for a next day snack.

Order was wrong on and manager confirmed that it was exactly as input by the phone guy. Guy on the phone sounded like he had never taken a pizza order before.
Do not order the «Family Salad and Garlic Knots»! For $ 21 I got some shredded lettuce with olives in a styrofoam with 12 knots the size of quarters. Complete rip off.
Pizza was fair, delivery slow. Manager was nice in fixing order, but over an hour later the replacement pizza was still wrong.

We ate here on a Saturday evening. Saturdays are typically busy on the island so don’t expect food immediately anywhere. We decided to pick it up since the causeway was still bumper to bumper. We placed our order and paid at 5:48. The manager took our order, one cheese pizza and one pepperoni, green pepper, and mushroom pizza, and he told us it would be 25 minutes. At 25 minutes we checked and they told us 15 more minutes and by the way, what did we order? This string along of times went on (telling us 15 more minutes, then 20 more minutes on and on) until we asked for a full refund. At this point they came out of the kitchen, asked us for the fifth time what we’d ordered and within ten minutes the pizzas were ready, at 8:00. We fully understand a two hour wait — if you tell people ahead if time that it’s a two hour wait. Two other parties just walked out (hadn’t prepaid). The two stars are because the pizzas were actually pretty good when we finally got them. In short– 5 minutes at this place is equal to 20 minutes in real time.

Took an hour and half to get pizza in January. Finally got the pizza and all the toppings slid off. Called and said they would bring more but the first set took an hour and a half. Gave us a discount but won’t go back. Pizza was fair to good

Gotta say, this wasn’t my first choice for pizza delivery primarily because pizza only makes up one third of their name. However, my initial choice no longer delivers. The cheese pizza we got was really tasty: chewy crust plus a more-​cheese/​less-​sause combo. I can’t comment on the actual restaurant, but I’m happy with my decision for «room service».

This place is right next to The Chubby Buddha, near the runways at the little OIB Airport on Beach Drive and is owned by the same folks who own the bar. When it opened it promised late-​night delivery, 23-​hour service and so far it’s proved to be true.
Tonight we ordered for delivery:
Nephew ordered the Fat Bastard: This is a burger wrapped between a grilled cheese on Texas Toast and according to my nephew who ate it it’s «all good, nothing negative about it.» Doesn’t come with fries so those were extra and still warm when the food arrived. He also had the Chocolate Covered Cannoli and I did taste that one and it was creamy and delicious.
I ordered: Jersey Shore Sub, turkey, double meat for 2 bucks more, and LTO, etc. The sandwich roll was toasted and the ingredients were fresh and crisp like they should be.
Delivery time was about twenty minutes, which isn’t bad since it has to come from the mainland to our island and all in all I’d recommend them not only because the food is really good but also because they’re open when nothing else is and they’re super-​friendly folks.

Great food! Awesome sandwiches. Large portions. Try the One Man Party and the pasta salad. Pizza is fantastic. Large slices. Great prices
