We proudly maintain the highest standards for safety, efficiency and customer care, and we use the latest and greatest Cabrinha kite equipment for all of our lessons.

Hop aboard one of our Kite Skiff’s to reach some of the best flat water learning spots around. With our Ocean City, New Jersey and our St Croix, US Virgin Islands locations, we can accommodate both the North Atlantic Winter and Summer seasons

History

Established in 2010.

by Chris Doyle and Sara Seaver, Leading Edge Kite School is the combination of one part passionate kiteboarder and one part girl with a serious case of wanderlust. After one successful season teaching in Ocean City, NJ, Chris and Sara scoured the Caribbean in search of a second kite school location and in November of 2011 St Croix (in the USVI’s) turned out to be just the right place to kite away the winter months. Apart from owning and teaching at LEKS, Chris and Sara also represent Cabrinha Kites and Neil Pryde Waterwear as the Northeast Sales Reps. Adding road trips and kite demos with Cabrina’s Pro Riders is just icing on the cake, and their love for this dynamic and exciting sport is guaranteed to keep the stoke of kiteboarding alive!

Chris Doyle has been kiting for 7 years and teaching for 2. He is a Level 2 IKO Certified Instructor and has experience teaching students aged 12 – 62. He is super patient, professional, knowelgeable, and is also a really fun guy to hang out with.
