As a hospitality leader this place is unprofessional. They were unaware that I also work for hotels and restaurants. Very disappointed, I was looking forward to watching the game but they refused to at least show the game on 1 tv. We were willing to move tables but it was pretty messed up that no option was given after the store manager said that they would accommodate us. Disappointing.

I came here with a party of 50, and they did a great job hosting us. The wait staff was very friendly, organized, and willing to split our checks. Skye Bar is located on Coastal Highway on the very top floor. You need a climb several flights of stairs to reach it. The walls consist of only windows. But the thing is, there isn’t much to look at. If this place was located next to the bay or the ocean, that would have been something. Instead, we had a glorious view of the highway. It’s not the restaurant’s fault, but it is a little disappointing. The food was fine. I ordered the steamed clams, which came in a lemon butter sauce and served with a warm baguette on the side. The clams were delicious, but the sauce had a bland flavor. I ended up dipping the baguette slices into olive oil instead. Overall, we had a nice experience. Next time I’m in OC, I would definitely come back here for drinks.

Only here for drinks on a ‘date night’ out with my wife. It was fairly crowded but we managed to grab seats at the bar. They advertise beach and bay views but we were unable to see either at night. I wasn’t too impressed with their draft lineup. Ended up having a couple of dogfish 60 mins. My wife had a vodka drink she likes and then a watermelon crush which was their special for the night I think. It was actually pretty good and I’m not into those kinds of drinks. There were 4 bartenders on duty so service was very quick. It was nice being outside with the ocean breeze. I was almost enticed to grab a seat at their raw bar but was too stuffed from dinner earlier.

Food was good but drinks … Expensive and blah. The atmosphere was nice and so was the bartender.

It’s a rooftop bar with no views of the bay or the beach from what I saw at night and a few flight of stairs to get up there(don’t know if they have an elevator). This was the first time we ordered food here(last occasions were just drinks). The food we got was meh. Calamari was so overcooked and overly battered it was like eating popcorn chicken. The guacamole tasted it was a day or two old, and the fries were the thick cut potato log type fries. Fries were decent. Our friend had ordered a drink and the bartender proceeded to squeeze the lime and put the lime in her drink with his dirty hands. Um, gross. Next time I’m here I’ll order a beer :) Still a decent place to chill in Ocean City. Catered more for an older crowd(30’s-40’s).

THREESTRIKES… ANDYOU’REOUT! Recently I reluctantly ventured back into the Skye Bar where Galaxy 66 used to be. If you don’t know me, I am an avid Unilocaler who informs the innocent population on restaurants NOT to try. I reviewed Galaxy 66 almost a year ago, giving it one star. Upon returning, I found that nearly nothing had changed. We were seated quickly, which was the only thing that went right that night. Of course, we were seated next to none other than the smoke squad. They were huffing and puffing away as I choked for air. I immediately requested to move to a different table, worried that the impending smoke would ruin my meal. Little did I know that the smoke would have no impact on the enjoyment of my meal. After arriving at our new table, we were less than satisfied with the outstanding view of the road. I left that alone though, thankful to be out of the smoke’s reach. Soon after our move, a waiter greeted us, prepared to tell us the menu. He scuttled away after listing off meaningless menu items to us, later bringing back drinks. Once we were settled in with our drinks, the waiter took our order. I ordered the grilled chicken breast sandwich, a fairly common meal. The waiter left, assuring us that the wait would not be long. Once again, we fell for their lies. We waited 30 minutes for our appetizers, not to mention that they were delivered by a greasy oaf who needed to take a shower. I brushed thoughts of BO and sweat stains out of my mind in an effort to have a good meal. Probably 20 – 30 minutes later our entrées arrived. I took one bite of my sandwich and knew something was wrong. The brainless goons in the kitchen had overcooked my sandwich. I removed the top bun of my sandwich to find a charred slab of chicken. I tried to muscle through the meal, pretending that such ridiculousness was acceptable. Finally I announced to the table that the food did not taste right. Upon further inspection, another member of my party agreed, stating that it was«inedible». Although the food was unacceptable, we did not bring this to the waiter’s attention, knowing that the dimwit would probably deny it. I decided that it would be much more rewarding to ruin their restaurant without them seeing me. So once again I am here telling you, the reader, how terrible this joke of a restaurant really is. But hey, on the bright side, if you’re looking for a good place to get lung cancer, than this is the place to go!

The Skye Bar & Grille is a very snazzy place to go to and eat. It’s a hodge to get to when you park. You must go up flights of stairs(on the side of the building) in order to get to the actual seating area/bar. The seating is very comfortable even though 80% of the seating are high chairs. The food was very good, but some things were quite pricey. The Filet was $ 38 dollars, but it did include AMAZING(cheesy) mashed potatoes. One of cooler places to go to in Ocean City – I would recommend it.
