Scooter By the Beach

Rented a scooter from this place. The scooter riding experience is fun, but definitely do NOT rent from this place. The scooter I received only had 600 miles on it and the speedometer didn’t work. This was not the main issue however. The biggest issue I had, was that upon return of the vehicle, the manager of the establishment who is named Shawn accused me of crashing the scooter because the alignment on the front wheels were offline with the handlebars. I’m an honest person and would’ve told him if I had hit anything. He claims he was «questioning» why it was offline but it was an accusation. The ONLY reason I was able to get out of the situation was because he stated that he drove that scooter to us personally that morning and it was fine and I recalled that this scooter was sitting on the side and he in fact drove the OTHER scooter to us. After that, he really had no case and let it go. To cover my butt, I asked him for a copy of the receipt citing no damages. He failed to inspect the vehicle and tried to blame me to get me to pay for repairs rather than exploring further. Don’t rent from this place. Rent from a more upscale facility that takes care of it’s equipment so that you can enjoy your vacation rather than dealing with this shady nonsense.
