Short story… staff is not trained to treat ALL customers equally. And no one apparently is overseeing the young staff that is handling the customers because the error should have been caught in such a small establishment. You can see one end of the place from the other without straining. Long story, two of us were seated, brought our drinks(water and a soda) and asked if we were ready to order or needed a few minutes. I responded ‘yes thank you, just a few minutes.’ Everything was great at that point, our waitress was friendly and attentive. As my husband was on his phone, I made sure to get his order as I anticipated the waitress returning shortly. Then we waited. We sat for 15 minutes. Customers/who clearly our waitress and other staff knew– were hugged, seated AND orders taken. I told my husband if he wasn’t with me, I’d leave because I watched as the young group of girls were at some points just congregating at the front near the soda machine. Makes zero sense. We own property in OC and have eaten here numerous times throughout the year. They may not know our faces but we’ve been faithful patrons. After another 5 minutes, my husband decided my approach was the way to go. We left but not before my husband handed the girl at the register $ 10 and explained we’d sat for 20 minutes with no service. Absolutely no one made an attempt to rectify the situation. I’m not sure what I’m angrier about/that we were treated poorly or that my husband handed over money for a glass of soda and tap water. We ended up driving over to Asbury Ave to another Italian place and enjoying a nice meal served by an appreciative, attentive staff. Interesting that the tv show that promoted Piccini’s is called ‘diners, drive ins and dives’. I think it’s time to determine which one best represents them.

GOATCHEESEPIZZA! Piccini’s has so many wonderful combinations to try, and I attempt to get something different every time but I almost always have to have this pizza. Great local place and the food is always hot, well-prepared and tasty. Check out this pizza menu, it’s very creative.

Sooooo disappointed. Ate here a few years back on my brothers recommendation and was delighted. It’s kind of out of the way so haven’t been there for quite some time. Then last night my son is craving his favorite Chicken Parm, so we venture over to OC. I see the dish I had last time is now a Triple D favorite so I order that, my son his chicken parm. Some of the HUNKS of chicken on my dish were pink and flavorless, and there were virtually no sun dried tomatoes. The sauce was great but it was not as I remembered. My son’s chicken parm was tasteless and jarred sauce. Such a major disappointment. The service was great. Maybe the pizza is good?

In my opinion this is the best pizza on the island; sure the boardwalk places are convenient but when you want brick oven gourmet pizza that’s worth the money, Piccini is the call every time.

Years later and I’m still coming back to Piccini! I’ve heard they are being featured 12÷18÷15 on Guy Fieri’s Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, congrats! This place is already mobbed in the summer with customers and I’m sure with this publicity the winters in OC will start to get more crowded as well, luckily delivery and take out are always an option. All the servers are cute high school and college girls who may be green but very friendly. Limited seating is available outside and June-August be prepared to wait for a table since locals love this spot. Also be sure to dine in during the winter to take advantage of their specials: Monday/Wednesday is Buy One Get One Free Pizzas and Tuesday/Thursday is Buy One Entrée Get the Other for $ 5.95! Remember its CASHONLY(luckily next door Wawa has an ATM with no service charge). When dining in, all entrees inlcude a Garden or Caesar Salad, and be sure to get yourself an order of cheesy Breadsticks to start! Pizzas are individually sized, but pasta dishes are definitely enough for 2 people to share. Whole wheat penne pasta is also available if you’re trying to be health conscious. Personally I prefer the pasta to the pizzas, but if you’re a pizza-lover give the Bacon Cheeseburger, Potato Skin, Asparagus Tip, or Taco Pizza a try. For pastas I love to indulge in the Tortellini Carbonara or Chicken Vodka Farfalle. I;m the biggest fan of the Grilled Vegetable Giordano which is filled with grilled peppers, eggplant, mushrooms, asparagus and its ONLY available in the winter/spring so make sure to try it! If you want some seafood down by the Jersey seashore I’d say you should get the Jumbo Lump Crab Romano, Seafood Alfredo, or Mussels Gorgonzola!

Unfortunately, dinners can range from fabulous to bland depending on the cook. One time my dinner had lots of fresh vegetables and delicious red sauce and then a few days later my mom got the same dinner and it was nothing like it, very few veggies and bland sauce. Spoke to owner/manager and he was not very helpful.

Got in town late. Stopped here at 9:30, they close at 10:00. Staff was super nice, food was great. I had the grilled chicken Caesar salad, my son had chicken fingers and Fries. My salad was great, he enjoyed his as well.

There are very few places I would recommend on the island for dinners, other then your standard pizza. Piccini’s is our go to place to bring out of town guests. The basic pizza is, of course excellent, especially the margarita. But all of the dishes are also outstanding. Chicken parm is excellent and large enough to offer you lunch for the next day. Locals go here year round.

We absolutely love this place. Been going here for years. Always a great meal. Our favorite dish is jumbo lump crab over pasta!

Our first trip to Piccini’s was wonderful. I highly recommend the crab ravioli it was amazing. We also had pesto tortellini — awesome. Call ahead be patient and bring cash and a runner because you won’t be able to park at night! It’s the real deal!

Why didn’t I know about the curly fries until tonight? They don’t really have appetizers here, so those fries filled that gap and were fresh, hot and wonderful. My Margarita brick oven pizza was really good and the traditional pepperoni pizza was just behind. The spaghetti with garlic and oil was not bursting with flavor, but we made do by adding crushed hot peppers and Parmesan. No credit cards here and the seating inside is tight. But, the service is always good and they are reasonably accurate when they project your wait time for a table. I think the pasta dishes are what most people get. This is not the place to eat leisurely, but it is a solid choice in OC for moderately priced Italian if you can get in without too much of a wait.

Don’t understand the negative reviews, we found this restaurant to be a gem. We relocated to Marmora(right outside of Ocean City) 25 years ago and for some reason never made it to this restaurant. Well, finally we did today and we were very glad we did and will be coming back. My husband is handicapped and walks with a cane. We weren’t parked close to the front door but the owner stood there and held the door for us. My husband said it wasn’t necessary, it’s going to take him a bit to get there but the owner said not to worry, take your time. So first impression was good. Wasn’t crowded(we were there between lunch and dinner.) Got seated and got our drinks right away. They were huge and only $ 1.75 each. I know other establishments would have charged twice that. I read one reviewer complain they were paper cups — who cares? They were sturdy, that’s all that matters. We both got the personal pizzas. My husband had the mushroom and sausage and said it was delicious. I got the Piccini special which had fresh spinach, fresco tomatoes with mozzarella and provolone cheeses in a white garlic sauce topped with grated romano. It was hands down one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. The crust was thin and the combination of ingredients made this pizza scrumptious. Our server was extremely nice and polite. The only recommendation I have is that the servers should have a dress code. Seems they do have to wear black, but some had pants and others shorts. Our server had shorts and to say they were tight and as short as could be without showing anything is an understatement. The server gave us the option of paying her or at the register, which I thought was good customer service. We opted to pay at the register and the owner thanks us for coming, asked if our meal was good, wished us a good evening and hoped we come back. Perfect afternoon meal and we will be returning. Drawback — no debit or credit cards accepted. Another reviewer mentioned this and noted this is a way to get over on the IRS. They aren’t the only establishment in the area to do this, notably Manco & Manco’s and Dino’s Diner don’t accept cards either and I’m sure there are more. Must give Piccini’s a try!

Real pleasant surprise. We opted for takeout as this place always appears busy. Lump crabmeat wit pasta in a white sauce, jumbo lump crab meat Romano, spinach and pasta, and a plain pizza were ordered. The crabmeat dishes had a lot of very large lump crabmeat. Very impressive and tasty. Also liked the pizza and will try other variations next time. Definitely will try it again.

The portions are huge and the Italian food is descent. Maybe I missed something with what I ordered. The wait was out the door but for an Italian meal that needed up being almost $ 30 per person with tax and tip everything was just OK. Nothing special unless you are looking for quantity over quality than this is your place.

Don’t listen to Bob H. He probably gives chain restaurants that oversalt and use low quality ingredients with all you can eat breadsticks good reviews. My husband and I own restaurants in philly(he comes from a family of pizza shop owners) and this is hands down one, if not the best pizza we’ve ever had. Our pizza had artichokes, spinach and onion on it. Everything was so fresh, cooked perfectly and the crust was phenomenal. Service was polite and attentive. The place was clean and prices very fair. It’s our new favorite spot! We will be back! Keep up the good work!

The food here is terrible. It’s very bland! We went as a recommendation from a friend and I wish we didn’t. We made the trip to Ocean City from Stone Harbor, definitely not worth the drive. I ordered chicken parmigiana, the chicken was beyond over cooked! It was so bad I couldn’t eat it. My wife ordered scallops over pasta. Again she was unable to eat this. The scallops came out and they were still white, they had no seasoning on them and they looked boiled. Terrible!!! The best part of the meal were the breadsticks. Oh and we ordered salads as appetizers and they never came out. we should have just thrown $ 60.00 out the window. I’m not sure what the hype is about this place…

Amazing dinner with the family when we were on vacation!!! Been coming to OCNJ for almost 40 years and was thrilled to find this gem this year! Shared a Philly cheesesteak pizza and sausage, broccoli rabe, and white bean pasta with my beau. Huge portions and everything was amazing! Took a bite of my cousin’s Old Bay crab pizza, yummy too! Everyone in our group of 13 left very happy and full! Tips-CASH ONLY, and small inside. Come early or get takeout if you have a large group. Can’t wait to make this part of our OCNJ tradition!

Enjoyed this place a few years ago. Tried again last year. After quite a wait(they get busy) we were seated at the patio outside and when it started to rain they told us they were shutting down the patio and they made our order to go… they did not ask… we asked if we could be accommodated inside and they refused. Decent food, but we were not happy with how we were treated.

Very big portions at this place, but well worth the prices. Always open. Even in February. I’ve dined here and gotten delivery. Delivery is quick and they’ll come right to your door if you’re staying somewhere. Great Italian place in Ocean City.
