My daughter and I found this bookstore last year on vacation. They have a ton of books. Mostly used but also new. We go because my daughter can read a book every two days. The paperbacks are ½ off the cover. The hard back prices vary but I bought a bunch of Nicholas Sparks for only $ 6.50 each. We make sure we come every year now.

Visited OC again and ran out of library books to read so off we trundled to Mason used books and found half a dozen right away for perfect beach reading! Also perused all the nick-nacks and nearly bought some(old clocks, china, lamps, collectibles). New items for sale included kiddie strollers, beach chairs and lots of postcards and books about OC. There is a ramp in(a bit steep) at one of the two doorways in, but the place is a jumble inside and little room for manoevring.

This place looks(and smells) like a crazy grandmas attic! There are hundreds of books arranged somewhat alphabetically on shelves with very narrow aisles. Book prices are actually not great even tho the books are mostly used — 50% off the list price. You can find some good deals if you purchase an old book that was not listed for too much. Otherwise, it might not be worth it.

I love this bookstore! Although it is usually a bit messy, that just makes it all the better. There is always something there that I want. I can spend all day looking through the shelves and teetering, physics-defying stacks of books that fill the place, and I always find something that I’ve been looking for. The staff are always kind and will help you search every pile to find what you are looking for, or leave you to browse quietly, as you wish. A must for all bibliophiles!
