Nicely redone Red Roof near the I75 exit. Love the wooden floors, bed was comfy and the fridge had a real freezer! Lloyd was great at checkout. Only con here was that the tub didn’t drain well during a shower. Would stay here again for sure!

The most disorganized and non consumer oriented hotel I have ever stayed in. Will never stay there again

We like to stay at Red Roof Inn due to the pet friendly policy. This location was closed last time for renovations. The rooms are nice, but our room lacked a refrigerator. They added safes in the rooms which you are charged extra for unless you tell them at checkout that you did not use it. The only switch in the bathroom turns on the light and the exhaust fan, the fan is very loud and makes it tough to use the bathroom at night without waking everyone up. Breakfast was a coffee machine coffee only, nothing else. There is a nice field next to the Inn to walk the dogs.

My husband and I stayed here for the night on our way from Ft. Lauderdale to Atlanta. Pros: * clean sheets and towels * no pet fees * nice staff * free wifi Cons: * there were people hanging outside in their cars for hours. Don’t know if they were guests or people doing shady things. The major problem we had was that our door would not close properly. We had to slam the door 10 times before it would catch. So if my husband didn’t double check, our door would have been left open. We complained to the desk clerk and he came up to take a look and saw that it was a problem but by that time, they were sold out. The clerk was very friendly but there wasn’t anything he could do. I didn’t get much sleep just knowing there was an issue with the door and of course there was no management available during our stay.

Great value for the dollar. The room was well lit, modern and had comfortable beds. Biggest flat screen TV I have ever had in a hotel room — great for watching college football. The shower was clean and had good water pressure. Free Wi-Fi. Only minor complaints were that the pillows were not very comfortable and the bath towels are relatively small. Thanks to the other Unilocal reviewers I knew to ask for the safe fee to be removed from my bill. You won’t get any kind of breakfast here — but I would rather have the savings on my rate and get my food elsewhere anyway. Would stay here again.

«I Was Injured! It’s A Nightmare From Hell & A Danger To Guest» Beware of this location & of it’s Dangers & in particular, the rude & neglectful so-called manager, Rita Patel. She’ll look you in the face and lie to you straight-up. Approx 4:30am on September 3rd, 2013, there was a power loss & guess what, they have no back-up generator. We needed to check out to proceed on our trip & we had no way to see how to shower, get dressed & pack. Next, the majority of the EXITLIGHTS& Other Lights were out which should have battery back-up power. We had to go down 3 floors of stairways in 100% total darkness and I fell. There was no way to see at all. Went to the hospital emergency room and then I find out I now have a slipped disc. Spent 5 of our 10 vacation days in the ER and in bed. This Rude Manager Rita Patel refused to even give a discount for the guest for it, the hotel, being out of power half of the night and all morning. I’ve turned my Injury, due to her neglect, over to a Attorney. I also had someone get in touch with the Ocala County Fire Inspector and they confirmed the neglect of the lack of, the non-working lights in this Hotel From Hell when they went to inspect.

Booked hotel for one night only on our way to Tallahassee. We were making the drive from Miami and wanted a hotel close to the expressway, inexpensive but still nice enough to where we werent sleeping with the roaches. I did some research and found this hotel to be one of the nicer ones at a very affordable rate. Fortunately the reviews panned out to be true. Hotel looked nice on the outside, almost like it had been recently renovated. We arrived around 11PM, staff was friendly and offered us warm cookies upon arrival. Checked us in quickly. Hotel was CLEAN. it smelled clean which was really pleasant. Room and bathroom clean and comfortable. All in all positive experience and would stay there again if I am passing through. I wouldnt recommend for an extended stay, simply because of location and amenities. But for one or two nights, perfect place.

We were visiting Ocala for the Santos mountain biking and had our dog with us. We always try to stay at the Red Roof Inn because they have a great pet friendly attitude. We also needed to work remotely from the hotel during the day so we needed fast, reliable wifi. We stayed there for four nights. THEGOOD: PETFRIENDLY! That’s the biggest draw for us when choosing a hotel. The bathrooms and linens were clean. Cable and a big tv. Great toiletries! I know it sounds silly but Pantene shampoo and good smelling soap really make a difference. The cleaning staff and front desk managers were super nice and very friendly to our pup. Free computer in the lobby with a printer for guests was very nice. Very fast wifi. There are coin laundry facilities which is great. A gym and pool are very nice additions as well. The warm cookies in the evening are just such a lovely touch! THEBAD: On Friday, they raised to rates of the hotel room. I think that policy is pretty off-putting for extended stay guests. There are dozens of clean, cheap motels nearby but we had chosen to stay there for four nights. Seems like they could have kept our rate for one extra night. At breakfast, the bananas were brown and the oranges were dry. With a fruit stand right down the street and being in orange growing country, they should have had better produce. Likewise, yogurt, cold cereal or more healthy options would have been a nice breakfast addition. The starches were all sugary, unhealthy options and the only non-muffin/danish/waffle option was instant oatmeal(with sweetener or sugared already added). THEUGLY: The coffee. Oh god, it was horrible. They have a machine that only takes tiny Styrofoam cups and the water came out barely light brown. It was so bad I would get up early to walk down the road and buy coffee at Waffle House, which is not great but still better than this. Likewise, this is not an eco-friendly hotel. All the breakfast plates and cups were Styrofoam. The silverware was plastic. The towels were very clean and white but smelled like a lot of bleach were used on them. It would be nice to see them go more eco-friendly. _____________ Overall, we might stay here again. It was clean, safe, pet friendly and had good wifi for working. However, the rate hike and breakfast left something to be desired.

What a pleasant CHEAP hotel!!! Upon check in, Kimberly was AWESOME. We were skeptical to stay here, as we just came from a red roof inn in Kissimmee, and… welll… you can go read THAT review. So we decided to check this one out before booking. It was lovely. We stayed 2 nights and… I have absolutely NOTHING to complain about! Helpful staff — they even printed out directions for us and recommended good restaurants. Clean, pleasant smelling rooms. Firm but still comfy beds. Clean shower/bathroom. Cookies at the front desk. FREEZING cold AC. Well-lit parking lot. Good breakfast — bagels, cream cheese, and jelly — oatmeal — cappucino machine — cereal and milk, orange juice. What I like about red roof inn is that there rates are low on their website and even if you walk in they will find you the lowest rates. I hate all the shopping around priceline and orbitz and stuff. Here, you get the cheapest rate online. What I don’t like about red roof in general? Lack of consistency. Apparently, not all red roof inns are held to the same high standards that a traveler would expect.
