MTS Construction Group

My inlaws used this company for some remodeling they had done at their home, including knocking down of the wall dividing the living rooom from the dining room; building a new pantry (and dividing off the back part of a formerly oversized-​yet weirdly undersized– closet on the other side of the wall to do it); installing tile, carpeting, shelves in the closets, and new doors; painting, electrical (moving outlets and installing new fixtures and switches), and installation of window treatments. The report from our Unilocal-​less elders is that this company did a great job and was reasonably priced and everyone, from the owner to the employees, was very courteous. Everything that was on the punch list as the job neared the end was addressed «and then some», according to Mom. I have to say, the place does look great.
As a side note, MTS was recommended by a friend of my inlaws shortly after we had tried to help them find a contractor by looking on the internet, including here on Unilocal,but, as you may know if you’re reading this, it’s really hard to do as most people don’t seem to give reviews to these sorts of companies (except on Angies list, but who wants to pay Angie for what you can get for free elsewhere, like… I don’t know… HERE? … especially if you don’t tend to have a lot of work done, then it’s a waste of good money). The one review we found on here was a good review, so the P’s decided to try calling them but, to no avail, as the contractor blew them off and didn’t show up to give them an estimate or even bother calling to cancel (see my other construction related review for more info, if you’d like…).
We thought we’d try and start a trend by posting a REAL-​life unfabricated good review for an actual reliable contractor. Way to go, MTS!
P. S. As of the writing of this review, if you happen upon their website, please don’t judge them by their grammar or spelling. They are obviously much better at the construction trade than they are at writing copy for a website! Hint, hint, MTS — you might want to look into revising some of that, but no deduction of stars here for something so trivial when you do such good work.
