En Garde Fencing Club

History

Established in 2013.

In addition to offering classes at the club downtown, Coach Phillip Vincent also provides after-​school programs at the following locations: The Cornerstone School, The Blessed Trinity School, St. John’s Lutheran School, Ambleside School, and The Villages Charter School. There is a competition at the club at the end of every month. Advanced fencers also travel as a group to compete in Gainesville, Ft. Lauderdale, and even out of state. Men/​women compete separately by weapon (foil, épée, sabre) and by age group (Y12, Y14, Y17, Y20, SR, VET, V50, etc.). Fun for the whole family.

Coach Phillip is a former national sabre fencing champion as well as an Ivy League fencing champion. He graduated from the Wharton School at UPENN. Over 15 years experience.
