We are an established professional entertainment company specializing in Polynesian (hula) Luau, Latin-​Carnival and Caribbean Dance, Fire Performance and Belly Dance programs for special event celebration such as anniversaries, weddings, corporate functions and any occasion that needs that extra special touch. Our shows are interactive and engaging with diverse dances from Hawaii, Tahiti, New Zealand, Marquesas, Tokelau, Samoa, Dominican Republic, Brazil, Cuba, Argentina, Morocco, Egypt, Algeria and Turkey.

We have performed throughout the DC and mid atlantic regions for over 15 years. Your guests will enjoy being on the dance floor with us and have the opportunity in every show. We travel to you!

History

Established in 2010.

Kinikia and members of DC Hippodrome Variety Show Entertainment, LLC became a limited liability corporation in the summer of May 2010 when the need to expand arose from high volume demand for these type of performances for the group. Kinikia, founder of DC Hippodrome, has worked with respected artists of ethnic dances throughout the DC metro area for over 15 years. She has also helped establish a popular trend of luau entertainment genre in the mid Atlantic region as accessible entertainment for the every day person.

Business Owner

Kinikia has performed with multiple luau groups in the area and has been an essential part of their initial growth in popularity and customer service. She is a former member of the Caravan Stage, a Canadian dance theatre company that travels by tallship sailed by its own performers, Synetic Theatre in their 2002 première of «Host and Guest», a solo dancer and corps dancer for the Silk Road Dance Company, an ethnic dance company with repertoire in Central Asian, Middle Eastern, Eastern European dances, and has taught dance classes for as young as 4 months of age to senior citizens.
