This place is small but great service and awesome people! I went to look for a replacement spare tire for my RV since Camping World ticked me off with their horrible service. Found this place in Oakley and thank goodness! They were so helpful finding a tire for me AND they got in delivery the next day! Awesome!

This goes back almost one year. I needed a hitch for my trailer. Awful Customer service. Lady at front desk is very rude. Owner is also very rude. They made me feel dumb. I had a very bad experience. Will not be using them again.

We decided to sell our 20 ft. travel trailer as we were upgrading to a motorhome. We did not want to deal with craigslist, bringing the trailer home from storage and then someone not showing up. Met with Doug and agreed on a price. Our trailer sold within a week. Doug told us to bring the pink slip and he would cut us a check. Simple as that! Recently recommended them to a friend selling their trailer and their trailer sold within a month. Highly recommend Hardcastles if you do not want the hassle of selling your RV yourself.

In town camping in 105 degree weather and our thermostat went out. They had one in stock! They were very helpful and courteous when we went to pick it up.

I needed to buy a brake controller and have it installed in my truck in order to tow my camper. Despite it being the busy season Hardcastle was able to get me in quickly and got the job done. They were actually $ 40 cheaper than their original estimate and the job was done neatly and professionally.
The staff was friendly and Doug, the owner, was accessible and involved. I will be looking to Hardcastle for my RV needs going forward.

Upon reading reviews for Hardcastles, why does it state for those who had a negative review that those reviews were not recommended reviews? Does this mean that only favorable reviews are recommended. How does that help the consumer to make the best decision when only reviews showing a positive experience are shown as recommended?

I always knew Doug was not a nice guy, but I’ll use him if I need something quick as I live right now the street. I walked in this morning with my father, and was greeted by a young woman. She was the only one there, besides the mechanic. She was nice, but obviously wasn’t experienced with everything they sell. Anyways, I grab what I need… As I’m still lurking around in the store, another customer walks in asking for a particular part and how she needed it now/​quick. The employee working said they don’t sell what she needs. So, my father over heard the conversation and asked what the lady customer was looking for, as it seemed the employee didn’t quite know what she was talking about. It looked like Hardcastles didn’t have what she needed and since she needed this part NOW, my father said maybe she should check out B&D trailers down the street, they might have it. Just being friendly, trying to help, that’s all… Well, MR. DOUG walks in the door and somehow heard my father tell the woman to try B&D Trailers. That ruffled his feathers a bit. The woman is now out of the store, driving off in her car, as Doug is trying to wave her down with no such luck. He walks back into the store and asks my father what she was looking for. Then replied «we sell that here». And got into why my father sent her to B&D when they sell the part there. He was being a jerk about it. Well DOUG, maybe you should train your employees to know what they are selling. It’s your employees fault that you lost a customer, not my Fathers. This isn’t the first jerk-​like behavior from Doug, he’s always left a bad taste in my mouth. I will never shop there again after today. It’s too bad. You never speak to a customer like that. And I still purchased what I needed, I should have threw it in his face and walked out of there.
The older fella that worked there part time was SUPER nice, but Doug. needs attitude adjustment. JERK!

Stay away from these guys. We bought a trailer from them 4 months ago and they still have not provided the pink slip. We keep calling and they give a story about lost pinks, how DMV has the paperwork, how they sent it in weeks ago, etc. All seems to be a lie. They were very nice when we bought the trailer but since then they are either incompetant or bad business people or both. I do not receommend this place. Next stop for us, Better Business Bureau and DMV.

I recently planned to go out of state and in looking over our vehicle, I noticed the sway bars were not staying in place. Bad. I went to see Doug at Hardcastles. He could have sold me a $ 300 Hitch/​swaybar combination. Instead, He offered a suggestion at a cost of about $ 10. I really appreciate his honesty and concern for his customer. Thanks Doug!

Needed an emergency repair for my trailer tounge jack before a trip; called Hardcastle and asked if he could fix it while I waited. Price for the jack was reasonable and they installed it for $ 25. I will be calling them for an electrical problem in the near future.

my husband got a brand new camper for his truck. it’s an old truck so the camper had to be special ordered. the camper is beautiful and the install was without incident. i gave it 4 stars just because it was a touch expensive. we definitely recommend them. i need nerf bars for my truck, and i’m going to check out their selection.

Doug the owner contacted me a year after we got our pop up trailer maintenance done through them asking about my less then stellar review of them. Come to find out Doug was the one I butted heads with during our two week business dealings the year prior. After a nice talk he apologized for being hard to deal with. I appreciated someone willing to listen and not be defensive and than say I’m sorry it says a lot to me.
