During Thanksgiving my heater broke. I called Fairview heating, and they came right out figured out I needed a whole new system they were professional, polite, on time and did a wonderful job! I checked around and the prices I could not beat! I would recommend Fairview heating and air to everyone!

Shop around people. Double the price of anyone else. Always get three estimates. They get you in the payment plan which is way marked up.

We have used Fairview for years with much satisfaction, which is what makes writing this even more difficult.
I called on ⁶⁄₇ when our AC was blowing hot air. This is on a furnace which is less than 5 years old, and which last year leaked all the coolant out which had to be sealed and replaced at a cost of $ 300. So much for warranties.
But I digress. When I spoke with Barbara on 6/​7, I made it very clear that they were to call my cell so I could let my father in law know to go to the house.
Next day, the day the tech was supposed to come I found out that the tech came, no one was home, and he had called my husband’s cell (who did not pick up because he didn’t know who it was). So he left. $ 65 for service call for nothing.
I called Yvonne the next day to straighten this out, and Robert met my husband at the house on ⁶⁄₁₀. He told my husband it was the compressor, which is under warranty but the labor is not. Bear in mind, Robert SOLD us this unit as highly recommended. They also installed it.
Next, we get a message… the part is no longer manufactured because there were so many problems with it and there is a class action suit against Rheem. They could, however, get a different part and jerry-​rig it to fit our unit. Oh, and BTW, you will have to pay $ 500 for the unit and wait for Rheem to reimburse you. Oh, and BTW, the labor will be around $ 1600.00. So you will owe me around $ 2100. For a practically new furnace.
The part took almost 8 weeks (yes, 8 weeks) to arrive, and when the tech installed it, my husband asked for an itemized invoice. He was told «Oh, they said you would know how much». We have called Yvonne numerous times, and sent multiple Emails requesting an itemized invoice so we could know exactly what was done and what each component cost, as well as the service charge. The tech was there for about 6 hours, and personally I think $ 1600 for 6 hours is pretty steep. However, we paid what we THOUGHT we owed, and STILL NO INVOICE OR RECEIPT. They will not return calls or Emails.
This entire experience, from the first day to the last, has been a nightmare. They unfortunately will not be getting any more of our business.

Robert at Fairview was able to squeeze our appt. in less than 24 hours after the initial call which we truly appreciated as it’s been in the 90’s and 100’s this week and we have a toddler at home all day. He came and explained what needed to be done with our AC unit which was blowing out warm air. Figured out the problem, came up with a solution and was in and out in about an hour. Exactly what we want and expect as far as service goes. Very satisfied and would absolutely use Fairview Heating again in the future!

Fairview Heating and Air Conditioning was a pleasure to do business with. Our A/​C went out last week and we were desperate to get it fixed before a heat wave came that was expected this week. Fairview couldn’t get us in until the following week, but they were so service oriented they assured me they would keep us in mind if a cancelation came up. Service is #1 at Fairview, they got me an appointment 2 day earlier then originally scheduled, and when the technicians came out, they were both very professional, and had the problem identified in about 10 minutes. They also explained the issue and what needed to be do to correct it. The part needed to fix my A/​C wasn’t in stock back at their shop, and I was told it could possible would take 2 to 3 days to get the part in. Again Fairview went above high standards of service and was able to get the part the next day, and was able to work me into their schedule to install the part. Thank you Fairview, we were all just about to melt, lol. I highly recommend Fairview Heating and A/​C

Inpeccable customer service. Robert assisted us in fixing our AC unit. He called prior to arriving, arrived right on time and determined our unit had a faulty part, which he was able to fix for a little over $ 400. Thank goodness we didn’t listen to the first two companies we had received quotes from who insisted we needed a brand new unit. The cost would have been in the thousands.

A/​C was not cooling. I thought I just needed freon. Googled and found Fairview. Called and next day serviced. It was the compressor capacitor. Carries the part and got it done immediately at reasonable price. Robert is sharp, efficient and trustworthy. Definitely recommendable.

I have used Fairview Heating and Air for the past 8 years and they always do an excellent job whether it be replacing Furnaces, AC units or maintaining them. I love Yvonne who handles a lot of the appts and back end things. Fairview carries quality name brands and they stand behind their work. I also have them come out and maintain my units each season. I am always able to get an appt in a timely fashion. If none of the technicians have been available and I have been in a bind, Robert has come out personally and handled the situation with grace. It shows that he cares about his customers and works very hard for his business. They are also available on weekends which a lot of HVAC companies are not. I have also referred my clients to Fairview for HVAC inspections and replacements. I would not call anyone else and I highly recommend them.

I don’t write a lot of Unilocal reviews, as it’s hard to find the time. But when a business goes above and beyond [or the opposite], I’ll find the time.
Our A/​C broke. Busted. Nada. No air. 100 degree heat outside. New baby in my household. Not good.
3 attempts by another service to fix our Air Conditioner place who actually made it worse, if that’s even possible. My wife was in tears.
So on a hot, very hot, Friday, afternoon — (I was sheepish in making the call) I just needed it fixed but didn’t even know if it was possible to get a technician out, I lowered my voice to a soft whisper, called them up, and simply told them what had happened to us, our family, as we’ve been without A/​C for 3 hot summer days and the previous repair people couldn’t get it to work. The rep was SUPER nice over the phone. OK. I didn’t feel so bad.
But what came next is this: a miracle. Certain miracles are unexplained. Grant, their technician, not only had all of the right tools, came about ½ hour later from my call, did a terrific job, charged us a very fair price which was completely explained up front, and not only reversed the problems that the other A/​C service caused in trying to fix the issue, he actually fixed our A/​C. We have a two story house, multiple zones, etc. Both were broken. He fixed them both in about an hour.
I live in Oakley now but used to live in Brentwood, and remember how good these guys were and once again they again exceeded my expectations. We have A/​C. SCORE.
Lastly — to address the Unilocaler who wrote about pricing: you get what you pay for. Check around and I think you’ll definitely see that Fairview is competitive rate-​wise for expert-​level service. So you are paying for experts with Fairview, not idiots. I get it — totally get it — as I fall into this trap myself. Idiots get lucky many times and can fix things for less. Experts fix the problem the correct way so you don’t have to call them back. Thank you Fairview.
Calling anyone else in the area — at least for A/​C — is just un-​American. ;-)

We needed to replace our 22 year old heater and AC so I got bids from five companies.
The developer of our subdivision installed the same AC units in every house, regardless of size. Some of the other companies simply proposed to replace our 5 ton unit with another 5 ton unit. Only a couple — including Fairview — actually analyzed our house size, lifestyles, etc. and determined that a 4 ton unit was better suited for our house. Not only was the Fairview bid the lowest by a significant margin, but Fairview’s union installers were skilled, friendly and very knowledgeable. Every aspect of our new system operates well. I feel that we truly got the best — and for less!

We were helped by a thoroughly professional technician, Robert, who personally assisted us in a dispute we were having with our home warranty company FOR FREE! Although I would not expect he can do this all the time, I thought it was outstanding that he took the time to work with the electrician that had claimed the heating unit (from Fairview) was improperly installed (it turned out not to be the case). We had been days without heat in the middle of winter and robert took time out of his busy schedule and help us for no charge. Wow. Robert and Fairview will have all my business in the future.

My experience with another hvac contractor was a complete disaster. After spending thousands on a brand new air conditioning unit, we found ourselves needing a new unit within a year. Fairview was recommended to us by an employee at Lowe’s based on other customers experience. The guy who showed up for the initial appointment was very knowlegeable. My husband was very happy with the job. He said that their job was very clean. They also offer some kind of rebate through some kind of union which saved us some money. I would highly recommend them
