I took a client here for a eye exam. We were referred by Lifelong. The doctor was very short and curt but that was fine, we don’t need friendly. After the eye exam the doctor reached over and started putting eye drops in the clients eye without explaining what he was doing. The client got scared and sort of pushed his arm back a little. I asked what he was doing and he said it was a test for glaucoma. He then got very upset and said she didn’t have to do the test, it was voluntary. I then responded that the client would like the test she just didn’t know what was happening. He then finished putting in the eye drops and said the exam was over. The client then asked if she had glaucoma and he said«I don’t know, you need to get a glaucoma test» and walked out of the office. Extremely rude and unprofessional.

I have an appointment 2:30pm today. I got there on time. This guy didn’t see me until 3:40pm. Around 3:10pm, I told the receptionist, I have to go back to work on time, the lady manager told me I am the next, then when the patient inside came out, another lady went in, I confronted the manager: I thought I am the next, she said: oh, this lady just going to have a brief check. Half hour passed, the lady finally came out, and the guy Hubert Wong came out said come in. I got in, he looked very unfriendly and inpatient and put a few drops liquid into my eyes, I knew it was for increasing pupil size. I asked him if I can still drive after this, no response at all, he acted like a deaf. I asked him if he was born in America, after a few seconds, he replied very unhappily: yes. Then I said: your English must be good. No response again. Then he told me go out to waiting room. After 10mins. He called me in, put me on the instrument, a few minutes later he opened the exam door, told me loud and clearly in the waiting room where other 4 patients still there: your *** has not damaged your eyes. I was astonished, how could he speak my medical condition in public? Does he know patient’s medical information is confidential? I planned to get back to work around 3:30pm, after he finished, it was close to 4pm. When I got on 880 back to work, the free way was like parking lot. There are works waiting for me to be done. When I got to work, it was close to 5pm, all my managers were upset. why did he accepted so many appointments? This is ok only if he can handle it, don’t put my job in jeopardy for your fortune! Around 2:30pm when I was waiting for the elevator in the building where his office is, a guy told me Hubert Wong is going to retire soon, good for you, is that the reason you give me such a bad service? I called the receptionist on my way driving back to work, she told me every patient is suppose to wait at least 1 hour, it’s normal, because they have too many patients, that’s not my problem! It’s their responsibility to make sure every patient is seen on time, if it was 10 or 15 minutes late, it’s ok, not one and half hour late. After I got at my work, I talked to the manager, she told me because you are a new patient and have ****, so you have to wait 1 and half hour before being seen. Give me a break, Wong did not know I have ****until I told him around 4 pm. and don’t tell me my primary care doctor told you that I have ***, because when I first got in, she didn’t even know who my pcd is! How can you make excuse and lie like that? And just now your receptionist told me it’s normal to wait for 1 hour, who is telling the true? If it’s like the manager said, then why didn’t you tell me when I made appointment so I can plan ahead of time? Never go to this guy! Awful, not trustworthy at all!
