Applying Christian values in providing individual, couples, family and group counseling to adults, youth and children in the San Francisco Bay Area. Located in East Oakland, we also serve clients from the entire East Bay Area including Hayward, San Leandro, San Lorenzo, Castro Valley, Dublin, San Ramon, Pleasanton, Emeryville, Berkeley, Richmond, Pinole, Hercules, Martinez, Moraga, Orinda, Lafayette, Livermore, Union City, Pleasant Hill, Pacheco, Walnut Creek and Concord.

Trinity Counseling Center has a culturally diverse counseling staff. We use a sliding scale fee structure to make counseling affordable to all.

History

Established in 1994.

Claire Craig, Ph.D., M.F.T., founded Trinity Counseling Center in 1989 in Concord, CA. In 1994 it was recognized as a religious, nonprofit corporation with the State of California and the IRS. In 2002 Trinity Counseling Center moved to Oakland, CA, to reach out to the community of Oakland and the East Bay. A Christ-​centered board of directors governs its affairs.

After working as a therapist for over twenty years, Dr. Craig retired in 2011 and moved with her husband to the mission field in the Middle East. She turned the care of Trinity Counseling Center over to Lindsay Malcolm, Psy.D. who joined the staff in 2009.
