Great prices, selection and friendly staff. It seems a bit hard to get a hold of someone right away via email or phone unless you send out an urgent ticket on their website (which I hesitate to do when I just have a few questions about products). But otherwise I really love this company!

I’m new to making my own mineral cosmetics, but the TKB Trading website is the reason I started. Just reading the descriptions of different base powder/​additives and users comments have been Very helpful and eventually gave me the confidence to try it out for myself. I haven’t had any problems the three times I’ve ordered and shipping is fast/​packaged properly. Still haven’t found better prices and honestly I’ve stopped looking, Why would I when everything is such a great price and conveniently on one website? I’m going to SF in October and a stop by the store in a must on my list. Thank you for everything TKB team!

If you can get anyone from the company to address issues and concerns, then the customer service is good. Most likely, however, you’ll not get a response in a timely manner, and if you are anything like I am, will wait days for assistance that won’t come. Good luck communicating with this company. If you are certain of what you want and don’t need any assistance from the actual people that run this place, then you’ll be fine with their services and products.

As a Bay Area resident, I love supporting local businesses. Located in Oakland, TKB employes local residents. This makes me happy. TKB Trading is a small business, owned by 1 person — not a conglomerate. I love supporting small business. TKB Trading’s shipping is speedy, effective & my product always arrives well packed & safe.
I’ve ordered colorants frequently & melt and pour white and clear base. The crystal clear soap base really created a stunning effect & I’ll certainly order it again. TKB Trading is also the ONLY place I’ll order mineral makeup supplies.
Finally, I’ve also had the pleasure of chatting with the owner, Kaila, on a couple special occasions. She’s awesome, knowledgeable, and stands behind her products.

TKB is awesome! The staff is so friendly and helpful. I have had my stuff shipped, but today was the first day I picked my order up locally. I’m so glad I did! I had a wonderful chat with the owner and she was so helpful in ensuring I had the materials I needed! TKB is my go to for cosmetic materials… The products are great, and the customer service is even better!

I am a customer here. I make mineral makeup and I use them as my «wholesaler.» Their prices are very low on ingredients and packing. Also, Kaila is very helpful and has helped me through e-​mail purchase the correct ingredients as well as expedite an order. Everything they sell is high quality! I won’t do business with anyone else.

i heart TKB and Kaila is the bomb! She’s super helpful and I can’t say enough nice things about her. Great selection, great prices, great website, great customer service — you can even pick up if you want to drive to Oakland — I’ve done that a few times. TKB carries cosmetics colorants (liquids, powders, dyes, micas, oxides), bases (lip, soap, mineral makeup), and more (tools, containers, sampler kits). Support local women-​owned businesses! Be careful though cuz you can easily spend more than you had planned to!

I wish I would have found out about this place years ago! I have not been to their location, but I have bought a bunch of stuff from their website, and let me tell you… I will never need to purchase store-​bought makeup again! I have their mineral makeup kit, where I learned how to create my own mineral foundation from raw ingredients, and I blended colors to make a perfect match to my skintone! My first day wearing it to work, my coworker even complimented me on my skin looking better (shhh, it was the makeup!).
«Samples» of colored micas can be used for endless applications, or with a little eyeshadow primer, can be used straight as eye shadow. The amazing thing: the sample is only $ 1.50 and you’ll probably never need to buy it ever again! (Most samples are a full tablespoon, which is a LOT of loose eye shadow!)
I’ve recommended them to all my friends and I will continue to use them: D

I’ve purchased a number of times online from TKB, for products to make my own eyeshadows, specifically.
The prices are always reasonable, especially since I’m just focusing on personal use.
Shipping gets pricier if you order larger items (jars, etc.), but for small things it’s very low. Shipping times are always prompt in my experience.
I have yet to have any problems with TKB and would definitely make more orders in the future! Highly recommended.

I’m an online customer of this shop.
For the mad chemist/​artist/​color freak, this is probably one of my favorite places to find ingredients for making powder-​based makeup (including making your own mineral makeup).
Excellent prices, excellent customer service. I really have no complaints whatsoever about TKB trading. They have more colors and selection in sizes ranging from sample to bulk.
