Talco’s is definitely a neighborhood bar. friendly barkeep and a mix of patrons, mostly older. amenities: pool table, dart board, tv. pour: gin & club(3.5) no tonic water… –measured pour, taste watery. bar notes: –front door locked –live camera trained on parking lot so you can see cars being jacked –no cars parked on street near bar. –no draft beer, no tonic water

I live just one block from this place, but I have yet to actually have a drink there. I tried to buy a round of drinks the day I moved in. I was taken aback by the bottles on the bar back each being separated by a foot of space. Seriously, their selection is that tiny. I pressed on, though and tried for a round of Gin & Tonics. They only take cash. They don’t have an ATM machine on site. We walked up the block and drank elsewhere. Later I tried to buy a drink there, cash in my pocket, but the doors were locked. It was 11pm on a Saturday night. I could see people inside drinking. The doors were locked. I went home and haven’t tried it since.
