Sam was awesome in his attempt to recover files for me. Unfortunately, he was unable to because of the complex nature to how my drive was formatted in a RAID system and how the drive had become corrupted. Once he tried everything possible, he went the extra step to put me in contact with a different company that maybe able to help retrieve the files. I would highly recommend Sam for his fast service, professionalism and personal attention to my situation. Thanks for your help Sam!

Sam was a huge help fixing my hard drive issue. Sam is great to work with and keeps in touch regarding his progress. He kept plugging away until he fixed my hard drive. Even if he didn’t fix the issue, I was confident that he would have done all that is humanly possible. Just one caveat — these services aren’t cheap in general, though Sam is the most reasonable of the bunch. So make sure you understand the minimum fee before you have Sam start work.

Sam is definitely the man to see for data recovery. I called many people, highly rated on Unilocal, and most said they couldn’t help me because my dead hard drive was making clicking noises. Those who said they might be able to help gave estimates ranging from $ 700 to a few thousand dollars. When I emailed Sam, he was undaunted, quoted a reasonable price, and said he wouldn’t charge if he couldn’t recover the data. When I brought the drive in to Sam, he asked me more precise questions to diagnose the problem. We also prioritized which folders I needed the most since he said that the drive sometimes degrades even more during the process of recovery. The next day, Sam emailed me that he was able to recover 100% of my files. Sam was very accommodating in terms of how I wanted to receive the recovered files. He uploaded to the cloud some critical files that I needed immediately, and downloaded all the files onto a portable drive that I supplied. The download took a few hours, late on a Friday afternoon, and Sam sent me progress updates so that I could plan when to come pick up the drive as I needed my files before the weekend. Sam turned a nightmare scenario into a smooth experience. I am extremely happy and would recommend his services to any poor soul with a dead drive.

The photos on my fiancée’s external hard drive were completely gone one Saturday morning. ALLOFTHEPHOTOS/VIDEOS and memories collected over 20+ years. I found Samuel here on Unilocal.I felt very bad for my fiancée and wanted this resolved right away. I gave him a call, and he had a very calm demeanor. He told me that although he was spending the weekend with his family, he understood the severity of retrieving the photos, and it would be no problem to work on it. Samuel was very honest, providing me a realistic timeline to scan the hard drive. I drove to his location, albeit further than what was ideal, but this was an emergency and I easily trusted him compared to other Unilocal Data Recovery people I called. He explained the process, answered any and all of my questions, even took time to console my fiancée about the prospects of retrieving the data. He never over-promised, and gave a 90+% chance of recovery. His assessment was that the files were probably still there, but a virus could just be hiding them. The drive size was 500GB, with maybe about 70+GB worth of data missing. Samuel mentioned that this process could take days depending on how the files were hidden. My fiancée and I dropped the hard drive off at 4pm, and by about 9pm, I get a text… He was able to retrieve ALL of the files, found the source of the problem, explained it, and even went the extra mile to upload the retrieved 70+ GB of photos/videos to a cloud drive for me to download a copy later. Overall, for your Data Recovery needs, call Samuel. He is a genuinely nice person, and when under-fire, exudes cool and calm, qualities needed when a data recovery disaster occurs.

Sam, the genius behind Syntax Technical, is a miracle worker. I’m one of those people in the legal field who has to alternate between using my Mac(preferred) and my office PC(clearly inferior), which causes a lot of strife. It seems like the PC is always throwing a tantrum! One day, the PC caught a nasty virus and refused to open any browsers. I was on a deadline and terrified that I’d lost my work, but Sam swooped in to save the day. In no time at all, the computer was not only virus-free, but working faster than ever! And don’t get me wrong, Sam is equally talented when it comes to dealing with the occasional Mac hiccup. I can’t recommend him enough!
