History

Established in 2010.

My passion for massage therapy began in 2000. I had been in a car accident and was suffering from serious injuries to my spine. After several months of treatment that included regular massage, my body began to heal.

My inspiration comes from my transformation of living in pain to a life of ease and movement.

I began my study of massage and bodywork in 2009, in Portland Oregon, graduating from East West College of the Healing Arts and became a professional massage therapist. I combine my knowledge of Eastern and Western philosophies in a unique way that blend, Tui na, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Acupressure and Cranial Sacral techniques to create a connected and therapeutic session. I’m passionate about creating a supportive community by facilitating wellness through therapeutic human touch and I’m committed to an open and inviting atmosphere using honest and constructive communication.

Finding a massage therapist who can treat a wide variety of clients and body issues is not an easy task. Even harder is finding a therapist with an expertise stemming from involvement in endurance athletics. Whether you’re an athlete or not Adelle will be able to help you.
At the beginning of last year I was hit by a car that ran a stop sign while on a training ride. I had a lot of back and hip pain stemming from that injury and as a competitive bike racer this pain was a huge hindrance to my racing and training. The treatment sessions that I had with Adelle were immeasurably helpful to getting my back on the bike and back to full strength.
Adelle uses a particular style of massage that blends her knowledge of Eastern modalities yet is informed by Western medical subjectivity and experience as an athlete and cyclist. In every session she was very thorough and communicative; she has an intuitive touch and will make any adjustments to your treatment to suit particular and changing issues.
I’m more than thrilled to have found such a consistently helpful massage therapist, and I’m amazed at how much improvement each session with Adelle has made.

Adelle has saved me from so many aches and pains! I’m a fairly active person with a nasty habit of hurting myself and whenever I’m too sore to function she works her magic on my muscles. She has great attention to detail and is very responsive to feedback and requests when I have specific areas that need attention. I cannot recommend her enough.

Massages are one of my favorite things in the world, and I’ve been getting them pretty regularly for the last thirty years. I’ve tried just about every form of massage and consider myself somewhat of a connoisseur of the form, and I can say without a doubt that Adelle is far and above the best massage therapist I’ve ever seen. Every stroke from her hands feels good and meaningful, and her massages are different each time, as she tailors them to whatever is going on in your body. She’s very open and welcoming of feedback and knows how to work with a variety of ailments, but more than that (and this is what separates her from the rest of the profession) she just naturally intuits what the body needs. She’s a lovely person with lovely energy, an impeccable professional, and also very holistically informed, so you feel she sees the whole picture and offers guidance beyond the massage table if you seek it.
She doesn’t know that I’m writing this review. I’m just awed by her mastery, grateful for how good I feel today after yesterday’s session (I’ve got chronic back issues and I feel amazing today), and want people to know about her.
