Sophia Harris- Birth Doula Services

I was hesitant to get a doula — my husband and I thought that we could do it ourselves… Even Sophia said «you could do it on your own» but having Sophia during the birth of our first child allowed us to enjoyed this wonderful event so much more! I had a home birth so we were able to have Sophia around us many hours before our midwife came to our house. Sophia had wonderful massage techniques and gave my husband great tips on how to make me feel better. The pre-​natal sessions that she provided were great and allowed me to feel ready for the birth.
Once the baby came, Sophia set food for me so that I wouldn’t need to get up and minimize any activity for me as well as letting my husband and I just soaked in what had just happened. I feel truly blessed to have had Sophia during the birth of my baby girl.

As first time parents, finding Sophia as our birth doula was the best thing to happen to our birth plan. She was intuitive, smart, and thoughtful in our meetings in preparation leading up to the birth. For the birth, however, she was amazing, and my husband and I thank our lucky stars she was with us! Let’s just say I was admitted to the hospital in active labor on a Friday night, and didn’t give birth until Sunday morning! It was torture, doctors and nurses were rotating in and out, but Sophia really helped me through this difficult time, helping me breathe and focus. My husband had to take breaks too, and I was grateful that Sophia was there to relieve him too. She is definitely someone you want with you during this process!

First of all let me start off by saying, that everyone should have a doula at their birth to help support them. If you are looking for a loving, knowledgeable and all together wonderful doula, look no further! Sophia is amazing! She was such an integral part of my whole labor process and made sure that everything went according to my birth plan. She acted as an advocate between us and the nurses/​doctors and asked all the right questions to make sure that we were making informed decisions throughout the whole process. She stayed up with me and my husband for over 24 hours and was there giving massages, helping me find my breath and giving much needed words of encouragement. Above all else, Sophia is the type of person you can really feel comfortable with and open up to. She is there to listen and give you whatever you need during your labor. I absolutely love her and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking!
