Serious Seafood has a teaser«fried fish, 2.99» sign on their window. i noticed a big«Closed» sign on the iron front door/gate. other signs on the windew read: «open». i asked the tall biack man behind the gate whether they were open or not. «yes» the guy in a «security» jacket said as he reversed the sign from closed to open. i noticed the entire front of the business was separated from the kitchen by non transparent plastic. the chef greeted me at the counter, took my order and retreated to the enclosed kitchen area. . eats: 3 piece fish and chips(2.99), choice of tilipia, catfish, and .? chef indicated fish was fresh. –nice size fish, had slight catfish fishy taste –fish flaky, fresh, –fries the frozen kind, just average fish bits: –fish cooked to order(about 10 minutes) –wall plaque and newspaper article on wall indicates previous ownership of eatery in stockton. –menu: fish, oysters, shrimp… usual pricing –fish is seriously good and a little salty
