Great food truck! After scouring the various food truck options at the Jack of All Trades market, my fiancé and I settled on the Sassafras Seagrass truck. The food is all organic and healthy. My fiancé and I each ordered the grilled cheese sandwich and we shared the sweet potato fries. The grilled cheese sandwich was monterey jack cheese sandwiched between Semifreddi sourdough slices — very simple, but very delicious. The sweet potato fries were well seasoned and well made and accompanied by a lime aioli. Not greasy at all! Their menu had a lot of other tempting options as well — fresh coconut juice(straight out of the coconut!), sliders, nori hand rolls, kombutcha, etc. A very popular truck — somehow we were able to beat the crowds and didn’t have to wait in line very long. Very friendly staff. Hope to see this food truck again!

Wow. First time trying out this food truck today at Jack of all Trades. The line was long. Must be good. Saw a sign that said certified organic. They accept debit cards with $ 10 minimum. Cool. Love the salmon sashimi hand nori roll! That white garlic sauce in the roll is soooo good and tasty. One delicious nori I’ve ever had for $ 7. Comes with a small side of sweet potato fries. Still thinking about it. Mmm. Also had the lamb sliders. That was also good. 1 for $ 6 or 2 for $ 11. Love the buns. The lamb patty was cooked medium. Just perfect. I can’t wait to try it again. Food was great. Nice friendly staff. Will definitely follow this food truck!

Sassafras Seagrass is hands down the best food truck I’ve ever eaten at. I like eating healthy but decadent food. Or at least decadent food that sometimes masquerades as healthy. Either way, sassy satisfies. I’m hard pressed to think of another food truck that I would make plans to hit up after work, but that’s exact what happened tonight. The menu items I’ve tried have all tasted fresh, and the favors are innovative and memorable. You’ll find things like lamb sliders, king salmon handrolls w wasabi aioli and pickled ginger, and hibiscus-clove tonic. It’s like real restaurant food on a truck! They’re regularly on telegraph ave and at first Fridays. I overheard that they will be taking on a new gig on Saturdays as well in Jack London. You can also follow them on FB to find out where they will be . Seriously, y’all. Go. And get the lamb sliders.

My husband and I went looking for a ramen truck we’d rad about in Oakland. That truck was gone but in it’s place was a funky little truck serving organic foods and tonics. we only tried two things on the menu – but I’m definitely going back! I had the lamb burger on nettle bread. It was perfectly cooked and the yogurt sauce complimented perfectly. My husband had a steak sandwich. The meat was perfectly cooked. And, the sweet potato fries? The best I’ve ever had! Giving four just because we haven’t had a chance to try more things. Even the service was great! It’s right next to a brewery and you can sit at the wine barrel tables with your beer and the food from the truck. We found them on Linden street in Oakland. I think around 95 Linden.
