Right Away Redy Mix

Poor attitude from the guy I met, very negative experience. I understand everyone can have a bad day, but don’t flip me off on my way out the door.

I have been working with these people over 20 years now, They bring the concrete right away, But You pay more than the competition. I look back at my relationship with them as Strictly business, nothing friendly or personal or good.
God forbid something go wrong with your pour, they will take advantage of you fully with their over time fees and late fees, fuel fees, they even deliver 2 truck to your job site simultaneously after 2 PM, telling you it will cost you less than their, rip-​off overtime charges, Keep the plant open charges, etc. Their manager Mark always thinks customers are wrong and his beloved dispatchers are right. He will write a long letter telling you how Wrong you are, that Right Away Is always right and the customer is wrong… That he should have charged you more than you think the overtime charges supposed to be, etc. Customer service = Make the customer wrong and charge what ever they want… lol,
I will never recommend their services to anyone, In Oakland they are known as the Arrogant Ready MIX, between my fellow contractors.
On smaller orders, one or 2 yards is better to use Larms Building Supply, than these people.
For the Larger orders Look for other companies compare their prices specially the overage fees and hidden charges.
Their service is no better than Anyone else but they tell you they are the leaders in the east bay… What a joke.

DRIVER GOT LOST TRYING TO FIND TELEGRAPH AVENUE!!!
I needed a new driveway and walkway, so I hired a contractor. His choice of concrete supplier was Right Away Redy Mix. As It was winter, the contractor arranged a 1:30PM arrival time for the concrete, so it would be there at the warmest part of the day. At the appointed hour, all the finishers were assembled and waiting for the truck… but where was the truck? We called RARM and they said the truck had left. Around 3PM, after several calls, the driver called from his cell phone. «I can’t find the address.» he said. The pour site was at the corner of Telegraph Ave. near Alcatraz St. So we explained it to him again. Still he did not arrive. Finally, he got there at 4:30PM.
I called RARM and told them I wanted them to take the truck back. «Oh No, we can’t do that!» They advised me that I would have to pay a massive return fee, and the driver was within the window we promised. The window is the entire afternoon and the actual appointed time means nothing. So the concrete workers, being well rested from their paid four-​hour break, busted ass and offloaded the concrete as darkness set in. The finishers all left at 5PM, leaving only the GC to finish the entire job. It was a cold, damp night and I could see his hands were hurting. I went back home and brought outdoor lights so the contractor could actually see in the pitch blackness. We left at 10PM, tired, wet and numb from the cold cement. Because of the difficult conditions, the concrete wasn’t finished real well.
These guys don’t care. I have been using other suppliers since this disaster. No one delivers concrete at 4:30PM in January.

Right Away Ready Mix is without a doubt the best concrete company in the bay area. C-​Mex, and RMC really have nothing on them. The quality on their concrete, their price, and best of all their service is unmatched.
I’ve personally, been affiliated with Right Away for many years, and I can attest to just how wonderful of a company they are. From their wonderful drivers, to their excellent management, to amazing quality of concrete you get, you really cannot go wrong.
What’s really great about Right Away is just how much they care about their customers, and how not only the management, but the driver’s are willing to the extra mile to ensure absolute costumer satisfaction. And honestly… what companies out there still are willing to do that? Not many.
Right Away is a great company, and I highly recommended them for any and all of your projects involving concrete.
