these fools can’t even answer their phones… i tried 10 times to get info or even a live person on the phone, no dice. wouldn’t take my car there if they were the last mechanics on the planet.

Beware !!! These people are crooks and the devil. They run scheme and they prey on the African American and latino community. They are liars and use your information. Do not purchase from them go else where. They let you drive without a liscense and finace you. Stay far far far away from these devils!

The service Department is terrible stay away!!!, after it took a month and a half to get a Saturday service appointment (as Saturday is most convenient for my schedule). I arrive for my appointment and for 15 minutes I stand in the service garage waiting for someone to acknowledge me which never happened, I finally had to track down the one guy who was working and he acted as if he was so busy and as if I was bothering him. When he does talk to me he never ask for my name or if I had an appointment but proceeds to tell me that if I was here for anything other than oil change he couldn’t do and that he could may be squeeze me another week later. When I tell him I drove 25 minutes to make the appointment and why no one called me he proceeded to give me multiple excuses «cant you see its just me working»
«My mechanic is out with cancer» etc. then to top it off he directs me to drive even further to either to Concord or San Leandro service depts. «and they maybe able to fit you in» no offer to call another service dealer or to accommodate me in any way.
After trying desperately to speak with a general manager or the service manager which none were available that day, I have made numerous calls and left multiple messages and still 2 weeks and counting no return call from this dealer. All you will ever get is a voicemail directing you to sales, service or parts in all my time calling I’ve never talked to a live person. I really don’t like having to post this kind of review cause I understand that stuff happen but communication is the key and it’s proven that its not important to this service dealer.

Update: I’ve been trying to contact the dealership about this scam and the only response I’ve gotten is a text asking me if I want to buy a car from them and emails telling me to come down and test drive a car.
Nice move, creeps. Not only did you scam us but now I have to unsubscribe to all this stuff.

I have been trying to reschedule my service with this Hyundai location for 6 days now and NO ONE EVER PICKS UP THE PHONE. I’ve used this location for my last 3 services with no problems at all… and now, I can’t even get through to anyone. I scheduled an appointment online but needed to speak with someone over the phone to inquire about something. I have been calling for the last 6 days, a couple times a day with no response. 3 days ago, I got through to someone in sales, thinking I could ask them to personally connect me with someone over in service, they checked and said the technician was really busy and I should try back. I left my phone number and was expecting to be contacted by someone… but nope. It’s 3 days later and still nothing.
If you’re so busy that you can’t pay attention to the customers who are bringing you business, there’s something wrong with that picture. I’m sorely disappointed because I’ve had a good experience so far with my last 3 services. I’m looking elsewhere for this one now.

This place is terrible! They entice in me with a raffle; their flyer says that I am a «winner», and it sure looks like I have won a television. I go in, and no, I haven’t won a t.v., in fact the winning numbers for the big prizes are completely different than my winning number posted on the flyer, and it turns out that all I have won is target gift card of «up to $ 1,000» — I look up the gift card, and it is for $ 5.00. So, not only have they misled me to get me to go to their lousy dealership, taking up my valuable time, and as a «winner», all I get is 5 bucks — I probably spent more in gas getting there! What a complete waste of time — really lame and dishonest. There is no way I would do business with these people!

It’s true. They’re lying scumbags. I sold acura’s for 5 years and these guys are why the industry has such a bad rep. Go else where. Take heed…

On 09/​23/​2015 I received mail from them saying that I am a winner of $ 1000 WalMart gift card when I won’t to the store they told me that they have just target card and was just $ 5 on it. and today ¹¹⁄₁₂ 2015, they send me another mail with same story… whats wrong with you people?.you are with the wrong guy and I’m not gonna give up!

EVERYTIME I call the service department, I just get hung up on or directed back to the operator. I’ve tried several times on several different days. Also, I’ve left messages. I haven’t been able to speak to a single person who can answer a simple question for me. Guess they don’t need my business.

Has anyone seen that movie NEBRASKA? In it, a seemingly pathetic old man is lured by a mail flyer promising him he’s won a contest. And he, being naïve and possibly senile, takes this flyer at face value and goes in search of his prize.
This same thing happened to me. My $ 1099 flat-​screen TV turned out to be a $ 5 gift card to Target. Turns out, every card is a «winner.» They’re willing to give you five bucks just for coming in the door. Problem is, it takes an hour of your day. Also, you feel like a sucker, because for a while there you felt like a winner.
My time there cost me an hour of my life but earned me five bucks. But the shame and embarrassment of being suckered lasted all day.

Everybody in here rocks, specially TK! My gf and I were looking for a hybrid. We were looking at the Hyundai, Kia and Toyota hybrids. Hyundai was our first stop.
Long story short, we got ur car here based on there customer service!

Deceptive? YES. If this is how they comport themselves BEFORE a sale, just IMAGINE what a deal you are gonna get! Yep, you are sure gonna get it.
I received a contest flyer from these people. After looking it over I found that I had ‘won’ a $ 1000 Walmart card. I was suspicious. I tried to see where the catch was I couldn’t find it. The fine print was impossible to read for one thing.
So, I called, was informed that I had won and should come down and get my prize.
Got there and found that Walmart had become Target and rather than $ 1000, it was a range. When I asked what the range was, the guy said 5 – 1000. I reply ‘$ 500 to $ 1000′? ‘Yeah’ he says.
I find out it is $ 5.00!!!
When they go out of business I will CHEER…

New Owner of a Hyundai Sonata!
I love this Car Dealership– Luis General Sales Manager, Alex our Sales Associate and Carrie the Finance Manager made sure that all my demands were met. They are not pushy people, they took their time with me and my sister and made sure we had a great deal. My sister and I were a little hesitant to move forward because we had previously been burnt by Serramonte Ford and didn’t want another ding to our credit report if we wasn’t going to sign papers. We filled out paperwork Saturday afternoon around 4p or so, we received a call Sunday around 4p stating we were approved with a GREAT APR %, our monthly notes are less than what we planned AND our loan is not stretched out to some ridiculous amount of months. We signed papers on Monday after work and pulled off in our Brand new car with only 46 miles on it.
I think i spent a total of 2 hours in the dealership all together, and they made this process as painless as possible. This was the 2^nd dealership me and my sister went to and everything was done to perfection, I can’t tell you how excited I am and happy with the hyundai dealership.

Like another reviewer I went there with the promise of a guaranteed prize. Well they were out of the $ 5 gift cards and told me too bad for me. When I told them this was false advertising a second sleazy sales guy piped up «first come first serve». I asked him what part of «guaranteed prize» in the flier was unclear. He just walked away. They promised me to have more gift cards next day. I dropped by again, no cards, they promised me to send one. They certainly did not.
So if I buy a car there and get something promised, do I really expect this sleazy sales guys to keep a promise after all the lies I heard. I don’t thinks so. False advertising and lies seem to be at the core of this shop.

Went in ready and willing to check out a car with the possibility of signing papers. I asked to see their selection of Hyundai Genesis’. There were about 6 of them on the lot and guess what? THEY DIDN’T HAVE THE KEYS TO ONE OF THEM!!! Can you say unorganized? They couldn’t open up one of them for me to check out. Not don’t get it twisted and think it was possibly because of my appearance of some other excuse… nope, that absolutely could not find one key to show me.
As nice as the guy was who helped me, they were absolutely unorganized and don’t deserve a good rating. I came in before and didn’t have a good experience, came in a second time to give them another chance… but they just aren’t good business people. Don’t believe me? Just walk in the front and you’ll feel it within the first minute… Good luck! I’ll probably make the drive to another nearby Hyundai dealership.

If I can, I would rate no star at all. I was at the showroom yesterday afternoon. It wasn’t so busy and I saw 2 gentlemen sitting behind the counters. Another 2 people were helping other customers. My family was looking and checking out the Sonata ECO while we were waiting for the salesman to help test driving. 30 minutes later and no one showed up to greet my family. I had no choice but left the showroom.
Scheduled online with other dealer to test drive the Sonata. I won’t give out my hard earn money to this dealer at all.
Will Contact Hyundai USA customer service to input this negative experience.

Made an appointment for maintenance on my 2012 Elantra that was purchased with a Pre-​Paid 5 year maintenance contract.
Hyundai Oakland refused to honor my maintenance package claiming, «maintenance packages are only usable at the purchase location.»
Paperwork on the contract says nationwide service centers honor the maintenance contract AND coverage is transferable.
The manager was a jerk when I mentioned this and claimed I didn’t know what I was talking about. He very obviously was sizing me up as a young woman with little car knowledge. Plan to lodge a complaint about his patronizing and rude behavior.

The service department is awesome.
I got an unrepairable flat tire right before a holiday weekend, before I was supposed to drive hundreds of miles. After calling and visiting numerous tire shops in Oakland — none of which were able to locate the correct tire in time, or fit me in for a appointment, I realized that trying to get this done before a holiday weekend was going to be much more difficult than anticipated.
I was finally able to locate the tire here (though they had no room for appointments), and coordinate a different tire shop that was willing to change the tire.
I was totally a woman on a mission.
«Do you have my tire?»
«Yes»
“I’LL BE THERE IN TEN MINUTES“
I pulled in a few minutes later, and literally asked them to throw the tire in my backseat so I could squeal my way out of there to the other tire shop. Instead, they managed to fit me in, and I chilled out in their waiting room with a cup of coffee as they changed out my tire… I think they might have even washed my car. I made it out of Oakland before the evening rush hour.
You guys rock!

For what was a quick and easy repair, my experience with this shop was inexplicably terrible. I got a notice that my car’s warranty was extended if the air bag light comes on and stays on. Two days after receiving the notice, it happened.
When I called to make an appointment, the guy was super rude. I asked if I could pick up my car in the evening ( Unilocal lists the hours as 8pm) and the guy said «We’re not open in the evening.» Okay… so how late are you open then? «5:30pm». Okay… so can I come by any time before 5:30? «That’s fine.» Jeez, man, why did I have to pull that out of you?
I bring my car in, I say it’s for the airbag recall. «It’s not an airbag recall, it’s an extended warranty.» Okay, my dude. You know what I mean, though right?
I confirm, there’s no charge as long as it’s the problem that caused the warranty extension, right? «I don’t know what the problem is. We’ll go through the checklist we were given and maybe that will fix it.» Okay so if that doesn’t fix it, you’ll figure out what the problem is and call me with an estimate, right? «Yeah.» Why you gotta make this convo so awkward, homie?
I receive a call later in the day. «Your car’s ready.» Okay cool, so it’s fixed? «I don’t know if it’s fixed. They went through the checklist.» (he’s obviously annoyed) …But is the air bag light still on? «No the light’s off now, but I don’t know how long it will stay off.» OMG bro just tell me it’s fixed.
Listen, I’m sorry it wasn’t an exciting repair that brought in a lot of $$$ but you could at least make an attempt to get my repeat business. As it stands now I’d rather drive all the way down to the Hyundai Service Center in Burlingame where they are super friendly and generous and I’m pretty sure they’re not even pretending. (Seriously, I recommend.)

I got my VT last year so this is a long over due review. The customer service was great they did everything possible to make my purchase great. After driving several cars at different dealer ships we ended up at this location. The had exactly what i wanted and matched the other locations prices. After we got the car we have been bringing it back for the routine service. the service guys are always great. they get you in and out fast. Plus they also let you know about coupons and specials they have to use towards your service. If your looking for a Hyundai i would recommend giving them a shot!
