History

Established in 2007.

Poppy Interior Designs is an outgrowth of the Custom Labor services and interior designing from the former Poppy Fabric retail store at 5151 Broadway, which closed in September of 2007. Having managed and directed all of aspects of the Poppy Fabric Custom Labor department for over six years, we now offer the same great service and fabric selections which Poppy Fabric was recognized for over 30 years. We still use the same highly experienced workrooms for fabrication that Poppy Fabric used.

Business Owner

Poppy Design Services is owned and operated by Patti Popovich, who has managaed and directed all of the Poppy Fabric Design Services since 2001.

Patti has a B.F.A. in Textiles from the California College of Arts, in Oakland, CA. She has worked for Sierra Designs, Title Nine Sports, IKEA Textiles, North Face and Couloir prior to Poppy Fabric.

In addition to designing and printing fabric, Patti has her own line of reconstructed textiles, including one-​of-​a-​kind women’s and children’s wearable art garments, and fun, creative animals fashioned from recycled sweaters and other reclaimed materials.
