known the cat since 9th grade and i’ll vouch for his character as well as his talent and professionalism. this guy is the real deal, a GIFTED artist, and is as humble, honest, and straight-forward as they get. finally flew up from la to get some work done recently and i was not disappointed. he told me exactly what he could and couldn’t do and delivered on his word. and most importantly, philip stands behind his work-once his customer, always his homie. mad love for the kid. on a more informative note, his style is simply gorgeousness. ridiculous detail, clean lines, very feminine when a piece warrants it, and rich, interesting colors. im a fan.

I have one full tattoo and one tattoo in-process by Philip, and can say that his work is unparalleled! When I found the perfect design for my first major tattoo, I knew I had to find exactly the right artist… and fortunately I found him right here in the bay. I get stopped on the street by people who have never seen such delicate lines and beautiful color on a tattoo. The tattoo we are working on now is turning out to be just stunning! He drew the design and listened well to how I wanted it to look and what it meant to me. He has always been nothing but courteous, professional, and solid… I was really nervous getting that first«big» one and his demeanor put me right at ease. I recommend his work and his studio, Old Crow, up down and sideways! Philip does get booked out far in advance, but is so worth it!

I’ve been getting tattooed for 18 years! Wow. I’ve seen it all. Philip Milic is an amazing artist! He is a kind, compassionate, and spirit filled being. He always always always listens to me and what I want! He tells me honestly what will and will not work in the medium of tattooing. This is very important! Not everything that you think will work in a tattoo is a good idea. Some things just don’t translate well. He always finds a way to represent my intention beautifully and in a way that I know will look beautiful for my whole life. He is doing both my legs from the thigh down. With my experience of receiving tattoos I would never trust my legs to someone that was not a master of his craft. His lines are precise and sharp. His colors are vivid and solid. His art is stunning, intuitive, and beautiful! He is an ARTIST of the highest caliber. Technically he is the best I’ve had. And, I’ve had a LOT! My tattoos from Phil always heal perfectly! Like peeling a sunburn. It’s quite amazing really. I trust Philip and have mind blowing body art to show for it!

I’ve been getting tattooed for 14 years and for the last 8 years almost all of my tattoos have been done by Philly. this includes 2 full sleeves some work on my face and my hands. hes not only an amazing artist but an amazing man. there aren’t enough words to describe how beautiful my tattoos are. his work is everything i could ask for in a tattoo. clean delicate lines. detail like I’ve never seen in anyone elses’ work, and colors that are so full of life that I’m happy to see every one every day. i recommend Phil to all the people in my life. and people I’m just meeting… and to people reading this thank you for my beautiful art. much much love

The Good The Bad & The Ugly… theGOOD: I have seen dozens of Philip’s tatts and every one of them looked great. I find him adorable, funny, and witty. theBAD: My tatt came out a much darker color than I wanted. Two days after getting my tatt, Philip commented on how dark it looked and that it was strange. theUGLY: It took 4 months for Philip to see me about repairing my tattoo’s wrong color. To his credit he was out of the country for 3 weeks of that. And when he finally did see me he claimed that I chose a different color than I did. Now this tatt is across the back of my fingers on my dominant hand, and I’m a massage therapist and look at my hands all day… of course I was very particular about the color I chose! The one I chose was a light reddish-brown henna and what came out is a dark purple almost black. When Philip showed me a bottle of ink that was super dark and said that I had originally chose it, I knew from that moment that he was a man of little integrity, for I *never* would have chosen that color. I thanked him for his time, and told him that we would never collaborate on any thing again. I hope this review helps you decide whether to work with him or not. Blessed Be.
