We are formally from the Claremont 76 at Claremont and College Ave. We are renting the garage from the gas station owner. We repair anything and everything. My mecanics are ASE certified and knowlagable.

Grew up on a working farm in Nebraska. Worked on Tractors, Combines and Swathers as well as the family cars. Moved to California in 1975 and worked as a AAA subcontractor — tow truck operator for 15 years. Always liked working on motors of all type. Work as Site Manage for Claremont 76 1999 till sold to (sic) Safeway in 2010.

I just had the worst experience here. I tried to use their air pump, but the pump wasn’t working. When I went in to ask for a refund, the attendant treated me like I didn’t know what I was talking about (like ahhh dumb woman). He tried the pump himself and when it still didn’t work, he told me that they didn’t give refunds. When I told him that was ridiculous, given the machine wasn’t working, he proceeded to guilt me, saying that the $ 1 would come out of his check. At that point I left and got air for free (I had spent all of those quarters :), at the Piedmont Valero.
This is irritating because I am a customer who has gotten gas and air here for years. On to the next station.

This place is a scam. We tented a uhaul, which was charged to our account and an additional $ 250 was added on. The guys won’t return calls or answer the phone. We have been scammed as numerous other people who have left reviews. Wears about to call the police

Rented a Budget Truck and choose this pick up location. They charged me a $ 200 deposit which they were not supposed to since I had made the reservation with a credit card. WHen I turned the truck in at my moving destination I was told that they did not run my credit card through Budget’s system and must get the deposit back from Piedmont Auto Service (aka Advance car rental)
It is now 71 days later and I am unable to get my deposit back. I am now filing a Oakland Police report.

I rented a Budget moving truck at $ 15.99 daily rate with .95 cents per mile. I drove the truck 12 miles, expected a bill of about $ 30 and got billed for $ 135.29. I called to ask about it, they were having internet issues and said they would call back, but didn’t. When I called again, they claimed I drove over 90 miles and that’s why I got charged that much. The man said he would change my bill and that I should call back tomorrow. I will change my review if that happens, but I’m not sure it will.
