Specialties

We are an enthusiasts focused shop but do not forget where we came from. We offer a full service shop from the latest most high tech super bikes to your 4 year olds first 2 wheeler and everything in between!

History

Established in 1996.

We opened from humble beginnings in 1996 with a passion that we still follow today. Shop owner Rob Rybacki competed in his first BMX race at 11 years old and the seed was planted! I started working at a local shop, Ramapo Valley Cycle at 13 and continued there thru high school and college where I graduated with a degree in Exercise Science. I continued on to graduate school. Half way through grad school I bumped into a college friend. The Physical Therapy practice they were working at were looking for someone wtih my background. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity and chose to put off finishing grad school. I worked in Physical Therapy and as a personal trainer over the next 3 years but the seed that was planted many years before was starting to really grow. I was still a very passionate cyclist and I could no longer ignore voices that were getting louder in my head. At 28, I used all the money I had along with a loan from my Mom and Dad and Pedal Sports was born April 1 1996!

Meet the Business Owner

Rob R.

Business Owner

I started racing BMX bikes at a young age. I gtraduated to riding road bikes my last year of high school. The racing bug hit again and the shop that I was working at started a cycling team. I raced on the road for the next few years. At 22 years old while competing in a race I was involved in a «life threatening» crash. I spent the next 2 months in the hospital. I eventually started to ride again about a year later. My racing career was over but my desire to keep riding never waivered. That passion eventually fueled my desire to open my shop. I still get excited when new bikes come in. It’s like I’m a kid all over again. I love bikes of all shapes and sizes as much now as when I opened 19 years ago. I also cherish the friendships I have made along the way.
