Usually I don’t write reviews but this one is so easy to do. As a working model you are sent on test with a plethora of fashion and commercial photographers; very rarely do you come across a photographer that can create some simply awe inspiring imagery. With a specality in men’s grooming and fitness you want images that is beyond the simple. You want images that showcases your body in a way that is not only commercial, but editorial and if your lucky, conceptual as well. Images that sets you apart from the rest, that captures the art director, casting directors attention, leaving a lasting impression that generates more bookings. And that’s what Paul does in his photographs. I like to call it couture, or one of a kind images. Not only is he a master photographer, but a master graphic and conceptual artist as well. All his images are infused with a great sense of presence, atmospheric, in riched by emotive colours, or graphic black and white, and masterful textured lighting. Best photog I’ve ever used. Very comprehensive, great equipment, assertive but not intrusive — and final products look so good! He came early to set up his remote-​controlled flashes throughout the room (uncommon) and scout the place. Will use again!

Paul shot two time-​lapse videos for my organization, Rebuilding Together Oakland. This involved multiple 8+ hour days of shooting, and I’m sure, countless hours of editing. He was very helpful and responsive throughout our work with him, and he was prompt in his delivery of the final product, to say nothing of his work, which was exceptional. I would recommend him to anyone seeking professional video assistance.

Paul documented a 4-​hour event that I directed, involving dozens of kids and lots of public interaction in a wide park area. He has an amazing eye for action. The photos came out bright and crisp. They’re upbeat and the narrative is very strong. I find that sometimes photographers will zone out on visuals that are more technical and fun for them to photograph, but Paul fulfilled my requests for specific shots well. (Which is nice because he was contracted through an institution, not me.) Also, he’s got a nice demeanor, was very active, and worked well with the kids. He sent massive files by DVD. I’d be happy to work with him again.
