Don’t expect gourmet food. If you want to make your own salad, this is a good quick place to get something. If you are looking for a quick drink or ice cream in the afternoon they got a decent selection with Mint It’s It!!! Yes! Again, definitely not gourmet so dumb down your expectations and it’s okay if you are too lazy to go far to eat somewhere decent. This area of Oakland definitely lacks great places to eat.

I like this place, you order a $ 5.00 sandwich and it’s made to order and you get it within minutes. Fast service, great food, simple lunch food and a daily warm special. They got a good little operation going here!

I work out by the airport and unfortunately the choice of food options is very slim. This popped up on my radar a few weeks ago so we ventured there. The menu looks good and the sandwiches were alright. I can’t say much about this place as it just struck me as your average bay area deli. Nothing to write home about but does the trick when you are hungry.

This place is close by within walking distance so convenience factor is there. The food is pretty good, I enjoy the chicken salad sandwich. The service is prompt and you can get in and out pretty quick. Price is fair, but saves me from having to waste time, so it works in my favor.

This place is always packed. It is in the Oakland Tribune building on Oakport St. They are a general style café. They serve everything from soups and sandwiches, to specialty items like bbq ribs and other foods you wouldnt expect from a café. The food is good, but the price is high for the type of food you get. A basic sandwich is 5 bucks. Its nothing special, just cheese and meat on two slices of bread. The sandwiches taste good, but not 5 bucks good. They have a daily special thats usually better, like spaghetti or soups. Those are usually worthwhile, but still, for the price, not quite what you’d expect. So, food you’d expect from a café, at resturant prices.

I go here almost once a week. It is walking distance from my office. Compared to the deli in my building, this place gets 4 stars. The sandwiches have the perfect amount of ingredients. They also have special of the day. Some specials are lasagna, spaghetti, spicy bulgogi beef… I typically stay with the sandwiches, but the specials are tasty as well. They also offer breakfast which I haven’t had. The owners are nice too. They get 4 stars because of the quality relative to other delis. Of course it’s no upscale place, but it will do.

Cheap deli for people who work in the industrial park. Edible, but not very noteworthy.
