Horrible service purchased 4 brand new tires on my daughters car lifetime warranty INCLUDED. he won’t honor my warranty I call 800# they tell me they are independently owned… so since he doesn’t want to honor warranty that I paid for than that’s it… im gettin in contact with better business Bureau …

This is, by far, the best garage I have ever used. I first took my car here to get an oil change. A free inspection was included and they found nothing to fix. This is the first time a garage didn’t recommend further services. An honest garage? I took it again for an oil change about a year later and the same thing. No services recommended.
My car was due for a tuneup so I brought it to them and also had them check the engine light. G said that it was a transmission code. He recommended that I not get a tuneup until I got the transmission checked. I could be facing huge costs and it may not be worth it to keep putting money into my car. I was stunned. I couldn’t believe he was recommending that I not get the tuneup.
Unlike most mechanics, G has great communication skills and he doesn’t get annoyed by questions. This place is a rare gem. I will always bring my car here.
P. S. The wifi is really fast and there is free coffee and tea and big table for getting work done.

It’s hard to find an honest mechanic, but Mr. G and his crew at Oakland Tire Pros fit the bill! My wife and I have been coming here for a while and an impressed with their friendliness and honesty. You got a good deal and don’t get pushed into getting work done that does not need to be done. Now, this place is not in a fancy neighborhood so don’t expect gold plated waiting room, but you will be treated fairly and get good work done! I WANT to give this place my business because I like to be treated fairly (not ripped off like in soooooo many other places I’ve been to!) give him a try; in confident that you will be happy with the service and price that you get!

Seriously the best service ever and super trustworthy!!! I have a newer car and you would think I would take it to the dealership but coming here for over 4 years, I don’t trust anyone more than Oakland Tire Pros and Mr. G!
I could tell a million stories about how great him and Nina are, but just trust the reviews and bring your car here. They tell you exactly what you need and what can wait and never pressure you to do ANYTHING.
The shop is outdated yes, but all I care about is my car, not how fancy the waiting area is! Keep it up Oakland Tire Pros, there is a reason you’re the most popular shop in Oakland.

I’ve hit a pothole that cracked my rim. I’ve have been calling around to get an alignment appointment with a reasonable price… I have talked with Nina over the phone and she is so nice and knowledgeable about their services they provide. First come first serve no appt needed. Which works out great. I came in the next morning and was greeted by a very nice man that Offered me fresh coffee, talked about what I needed for my vehicle, and showed me to the waiting room. I was in and out. I suggest to go early. Very friendly and helpful

Mr. G & Nina are my car saviors! After another shop in El Cerrito (which has excellent reviews, btw) totally cheated me, I came here & now I wouldn’t go anywhere else. They are fast & honest & will refer you to other shops if they don’t have the time to see you that day. I’ve come in for oil changes on 2 different cars, tire rotations, spin & balance, & a faulty back door latch.
One more thing: They even helped an older local resident figure out her car payments one time I was here. I’ve seen a lot of folks come in who’ve been coming here for years. Totally trustworthy & affordable.

These guys were super cool, flexible, and got me in and out quickly for a (very reasonably priced) oil change/​alignment/​tire rotation). Nena was great with email customer service so i didn’t have to call a million times. They even honored an old Groupon from Big O (previous owners) that they didn’t have to– that sealed the deal and earned them a new customer! Recommend without reservations, been to a lot of car service shops these guys are good.

Came here for oil change. This place need a good cleanup in the waiting area and maybe a bigger or several portable heaters. I sat five feet away from the portable heater and still cold, but other than that excellent and fast service, will definitely come back again.

This place is no longer Big O affiliated, but is open under a new name: «Oakland Tire Pros.» I had the Big O Tire multi-​discount coupon (Living Social punchcard) and they honored it with no hesitation, despite no longer being Big O affiliated. They were very friendly and did the oil changes on my car and my gf’s car fairly quickly.
