I’m an architect, Stafford has helped me move furniture for clients and for photo shoots. He is a great communicator, keeps appointments, and truly understands what white glove delivery means. Completely trustworthy, a man of his word, you really can’t go wrong with Stafford.

Stafford and crew delivered our office furniture and video equipment to our new location couple of weeks ago. They were gentle with our gear and were efficient with their time. It cost less than I had thought. They even hauled away an old desk and other stuff that I couldn’t even give away.

A small move that is going to take less than two hours did not bring out the best in several of the moving companies I contacted. Happily I did contact Stafford at Sent Packing (now Dedicated Deliveries). They happily responded to my email,
didn’t try to sell me move services I didn’t need, arrived on time and got to work in a very pleasant and professional manner. Highly recommend!

Stafford is great. His crew moved me from one part of Oakland to another — they showed up on time, they moved quickly, and the price was fair. Not to mention I had to call them totally last minute after realizing all of my plans were falling through. I’d hire them again, for sure.
Just a heads up though, I understand that they no longer do household moves, just offices and the like.

I am about to call Stafford and his crew up today, and this will be my third time using their services. This time I am having a nice, gently used HDTV delivered from my mom’s house in Fremont to my place in Oakland.

I’ve continued using Sent Packing to deliver a couch I bought on craigslist and they were fast, effective and careful with my furniture. Always a pleasure to work with!

I finally decided it was time to get all my stuff (mostly heavy boxes of books, cookware, and dishes) out of my storage unit in Brooklyn and into my home in Oakland. But how to do it cheaply and efficiently? I didn’t have the thousands of dollars a big company like Mayflower would charge to drive even a small truckload of stuff across the country.
I stalled and stalled, then finally called Stafford at Sent Packing. He gave me great advice about all my different options. I ended up taking his advice and sending my boxes as freight on Amtrak – something I would have never known about without his recommendation, and which was MUCH cheaper and easier to do than I expected.
Stafford and his crew met me at the Emeryville train station when my stuff arrived, picked it up, loaded it, and delivered it to my apt in less than a hour, for a very reasonable fee. They were prompt, courteous, & very professional. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by how to transport anything, I highly recommend calling Stafford for a consultation.

I used Sent Packing last summer, and they were very quick and efficient, and gave me a great deal. Everything got to its destination with no damage.

Sent packing recently helped us relocate from Burlingame to San Francisco.
Stafford was great at advising me what I needed to do prior to the move and the few things I needed to get.
His guys turned up on time and started loading the truck. We had a lot of heavy large items that needed moving, and they moved everything with ease and in a speedy manner.
Arriving the other end they actually got there before us as we ended up going the long way, unloading was all straight forward and stress free, the stairs didn’t phase them at all.
There were no breakages or damage to any of our items. The cost was a great deal too.
Will definitely use them again for future relocations.

These guys are awesome and Stafford is really on it, very communicative, I felt at ease right away. Stafford moved my art-​work which I normally feel really on edge about anyone touching, and he was really professional and thoughtful about how to transport the work safely. It was delivered in perfect condition! What a relief! Plus he is totally fair about fees and his crew is very sweet and careful. I totally recommend these guys for art shows and special handling.

I am just engaging Sent Packing for the second time to help me move. Stafford is someone I can easily communicate with who is generous to a fault — the kind of personality I understand. In the last move, his crew reflected that same kind of generosity and willingness to help wherever and however I needed it. I was underpacked, had too much stuff, we ran late into the night, and some of my furniture is not only antique but heavy, however these guys just kept going on with great good humor and unflagging willingness. I was seriously impressed. They took care of my belongings at the same time that they were efficient. And, Stafford was willing to help me figure out how to make the move as inexpensive as possible. I have to come clean and say that, if I could have, I would have done this move myself. Moving is already emotional and chaotic; when I add to that the costs of setting up a new home, it’s enough to drive me over the edge.
Last week, my loyal friends (well, the ones that have stuck around since my last move) helped me bucket-​brigade most of the small stuff up a flight of stairs to my new flat. But even I, notorious thrifty that I am, knew that there was NO WAY we were going to be able to hoist the big stuff. NO WAY.
In comes Sent Packing. First of all, Stafford calls you back. Period. His communication was superb, with timely confirmations by phone and email. I’m a stickler for people doing what they say, when they say they will. You can trust Stafford with your stuff because you can trust him at his word.
But that’s only the beginning: he works to fit you in but doesn’t over-​promise; he has a very clear fee structure with extremely competitive rates; and his crew does the job efficiently, carefully, and cheerfully. His team of three moved handcrafted, all-​wood (read: HEAVY) furniture up the stairs, waited while I figured out where it would go, and adjusted it when I changed my mind. Nothing broken, nothing scratched.
You try your best to pick the best from reading a hundred and one reviews on Unilocal.In the end, I trusted my gut, and lucked out. If you’re looking for someone who will do the careful, thoughtful job you’d do yourself if you could, call Sent Packing and rest easy.

Stafford–
Before I posted this review, I emailed you directly about my experience. You never responded. Clearly you are more motivated to seem like a reasonable guy to future customers than you are to address the dissatisfaction of a customer who has already paid.

They hired day laborers who worked at their own pace (slow!) and didn’t seem to invest much in professionalism, etc. (i.e. we found one worker standing around not doing much). Stafford was all over the map, chose the lightest duties to do and did not have dollies for this move. We ended up moving lots of the heavy boxes ourselves which defeated the whole reason why we hired movers. The move dragged on for hours after the projected end time. I’m not quite sure who are other reviewers who gave them 5 stars, but this is truly our experience with this company and we can only give them 1 star, if that.

Stafford and his staff were amazing. They were affordable, efficient, reliable, and most of all extremely friendly and made the transition really smooth and seamless. I would recommend them to anyone. They really went above and beyond with their helpfulness. This is how small businesses should be run, by people who are passionate about what they do and really care about their customers.

Stafford and his team have been very responsive and reliable for so far 3 different packing, delivery, and storage organization jobs for my clients. They know how to hold your hand, pay attention to detail, come prepared, communicate effectively and are on time. A couple of my clients weren’t easy to work with and they still raved about Sent Packing!

From the beginning, Stafford was very helpful and available over the phone and e-​mail to answer questions. He gave me a super reasonable estimate after thoroughly going through all the stuff we had. He also gave me tips on where to get the cheapest boxes and tape, etc.
The day of the move, he showed up on time with four guys and they moved our entire home quickly and carefully. They were also really nice guys.
I’d recommend them for any kind of move. Although we only moved about a mile within Oakland, they have the capacity to move anywhere on the West coast, I believe. And although we packed all our things in boxes beforehand, they provide a service where they’ll pack and re-​pack for you (definitely something I’ll think about doing next time.) He (and they) definitely made our move so much easier.

Dedicated Deliveries is the best! The owner, Staffford, is honest, reliable, generous and totally responsive to your needs. I have hired him several times for odd jobs and he will always be my go-​to guy when I have odd job needs for muscle and brawn for cleaning stuff up, helping me move large furniture around, organizing storage spaces.
Please do not rely simply on this review to get the idea of how Stafford and Dedicated Deliveries can help you. I am not able to tell you all the things can Stafford can help you with, they are too numerous.
If it involves anything with your house, your belongings, transitioning from one residence, moving a small business, etc., just give him a call. Likeable and down to earth. Such a kind human being, not merely another business.

Stafford and company wheeled into our driveway at the eleventh hour and saved us SO much time and hassle! As my boyfriend stated below, we had 2 apartments to move and our prior mover bailed on us 2 days before it was supposed to go down! Talk about panic!
Stafford was courteous, earnest, and understanding, and he set us up with an awesome bunch of guys for a glorious flat fee with no strings attached! Everything wound up in its proper place, we were very well taken care of. Thank you Stafford! I definitely will keep you in mind for future moves.

Stafford and team were prompt and well equipped to handle our move. The move went very smoothly from two locations (my girlfriend’s and my location) to our new location together. The first legs went very fast; the final leg took twice as long due to the number of flights of stairs for most items. Still, the move went off without a hitch and with damage limited to the quality of the boxes we purchased (box handles torn, some sagging, etc).
The best part was the timing. At the last minute (i.e. 3 days before the move) we were scheduled to go with another mover, but then a change of plans forced us to move our date from Friday to Saturday. Our original moving company could not accommodate, but Stafford and team set it all up and was ready to go with very little planning time. It was such a relief.
I recommend Sent Packing for any basic cross-​town moving needs… their ‘no-​surprises’ flat hourly rate is reasonable and really doesn’t have any strings attached. Bravo.
