What Makes Mike Different?

Go-​time for your party is like the finale to an epic juggling act. Mike Miller Bubbles can be the ball that juggles itself… and is also so awesome that no one notices if you drop a few others! I pride myself on predicting and addressing hosts’ concerns proactively, so that they can focus on their guests, food, and things, while the bubbles take care of themselves, and enchant everyone.

By sending bubbles of all shapes and sizes from the tops of twelve-​foot poles, Mike entertains kids and adults alike: the kids pop the low bubbles but the adults also get to ooh and ahh at myriad amazing and surprising bubble shapes that the kids can’t quite reach (though they have a lot of fun trying).

History

Established in 2011.

Somebody bought me a giant bubble toy in the 1990s… and I couldn’t make it work. But I tried and tried and finally made a 3 foot bubble! I was hooked.

Started a Yahoo group – soapbubblefanciers– in 1998 and learned from bubble fanatics all over the world before finally ramping up my own style in 2008: perfecting my favorite solution that was kind to grass and kids, designing REALLY big bubble equipment for all conditions, developing a sixth sense for subtleties of the wind.

Refused to bubble for pay, for fear of ruining my beloved hobby, for a long time… but demand was huge and in 2011 I decided that I would try it. Turns out I love providing such a unique service. Mike Miller Bubbles capitalizes on my bubbling skill, customer service background, and child-​centered primary profession in a way that is quite magical. I get great satisfaction from working so hard and making people so happy doing something I truly love.

During the school year, Mike is an independent Developmental Learning Specialist, working one-​on-​one with kids who are struggling to replace coping skills which no longer help them when academic demands increase in 4^th-​10^th grades. He is also a dedicated clinician at the Sparking Your Genius summer program of intensive academic clinics in San Francisco.

He grew up in the South Bay, and spent many years in San Francisco before moving to his beloved home, Oakland, where he lives near the Zoo with his wife and two daughters.
