M C Radiators & Welding

Based on the Unilocal reviews, I had MC Radiators weld up some aluminum AN fittings on to a Fluidyne radiator and Canton Racing Products aluminum coolant tank, oil cooler and thermostat housing for my mustang cobra. I felt a bit uneasy when I arrived to mc radiators because the place looked really run down, but I brushed it aside.

BEFORE the work began, I told mc to be carful with the coolant tank and not to scratch it up. Furthermore, As MC was welding on the fittings, I saw the welder handling the aluminum sealing surface of the AN fittings with steel plyers and sure enough, it caused a nick on the sealing surface. What really got angry is that once MC radiators was done welding the coolant tank, the welder threw it in a shopping cart along with the rest of my parts and as s result, it caused the tank to get all scratched up and I got really pissed. When pointed out that my coolant was all scratched up, the guy behind the counter said, just use some sand paper to get rid of the scratches!
After paying more than I was quoted, I left feeling angry and shafted because I expected better based on the Unilocal reviews.

Needed some work done on my aging exhaust system. I didn’t have an appointment, just showed up close to opening time on Saturday. I left my car with them for about an hour while I walked down the street and had breakfast. By the time I was finished, so were they.
The guy who helped me was super nice, and it only cost forty bucks to weld in a piece of pipe where the flange connections were broken. I can’t really ask for much more. Not sure what other reviews mean about the cleanliness, it’s about as clean as it gets for a shop where they’re doing a lot of dirty work all day long.
I’ll definitely come back here for any future exhaust or welding needs.

They replaced my water pump and timing belt without any call ahead within a few hours, fast reasonable pricing and just good honest work

Wow! I am so beyond impressed with MC Radiators & Welding. The other 5-​star reviews speak the truth! Here was my situation: The hood of my 2001 Honda Civic was not closing properly because the latch had broken away from the grill. I know it posed an enormous danger of flying up while I was driving on the freeway, and I also know that the Honda dealer would have tried to charge me mega-​bucks for this kind of repair. The gentlemen gently took apart my front grill, welded, manipulated, and thoroughly fixed my problem. I feel safe again, and am so grateful!

I had to do my smog test and needed to change my catalytic converter, Marcelo, the owner, was very helpful and did a great job on my car. I passed the test and now have to register my car :) ! Also he has very raisonable pricing! I’ll go back whenever I have an issue, he knows what he does!

Bike frame welding– these guys are one of the few I’ve found who will do it. I had a clean cut through the bottom half of my bike frame from some degenerate who went at it with a hacksaw. The guys at MC welded it back together for $ 30. They got it done by the next day as well.
Though it’s not their specialty, they were willing to take on the small job, and I really appreciated it. Instead of paying $ 200 for a replacement tube on my steel frame, I got it welded. Go MC!

I putting a steel frame in my side gate and need the adjustment rail cut to fit the entryway. In and out fast. They even smooth the edges for me. Super nice guys!

I arrived without calling first when the pipe to my muffler broke after being weakened by corrosion and then being hit when I went over a rocky path. My car was worked on right away, and work was completed as quickly as promised. The shop worker was polite and his quote was inexpensive.

Radiator cracked on a Friday at 5:00pm. Found this radiator shop on the web because radiators, plural, didn’t come up on my Unilocal search.
Got the cheapest quote, from anyone I called, at 9:00am.
Will be in and out of shop (of all things) on a Sat morning within 1 hour (will be out by 11:00).
Great service, great price on last minute, need-​my-​car-​for-​the-​weekend, notice; can’t beat that!

I recently took an antique bronze bed and 2 antique iron tables to MC Radiators & Welding. The service was excellent, the welding was top-​notch and the prices extremely reasonable. Marcelo, the owner, worked quickly and was very helpful in explaining how he was going to repair each piece so that I felt reassured that the welding would be done aesthetically without scarring or blemishes. I definitely recommend MC Radiators & Welding for any welding job, big or small, because Marcelo is up to the task!!!

Good business. The owner is hands on and accommodating. He allowed me to bring my own mufflers and completed the work on schedule. I strongly recommend this shop for all your exhaust needs.

Edgar welded my Honda Civic pedal bracket quickly and at a good price. He attended to me as soon as I came in the shop, and gave me an accurate estimate of time and price after a quick look at my part. My car is now back on the road!

Good work done at reasonable prices… I love the fact this is an old school radiator and welding shop… I brought in broken metal handle that would have been expensive to replace. Heliarc welded repair was strong and the shop owner had a «let’s get done» attitude. All for $ 20…I will be coming back the next time we need any welding.. .Let’s all support our small business community

took the radiator from my 97 Jeep Cherokee sport overeto MC, for a leaking header tank weld. Fixed for $ 75 the same day, and I got a replacement transmission cooler outlet included (mine had chafed a groove in itself by rubbing on the chassis)
the place looks like most radiator repair shops — total chaos, but good service with a smile — they will get all my radiator business

Great job. Fixed my radiator and price matched on labor. The guy was respectful and trustworthy.

I needed some exhaust work done and these guys did quality work, at a fair price in a very timely fashion. The garage certainly isn’t the cleanest place you will ever go, nor is it in the best part of town but they get the job done.

Seinfeld was speaking of New York, cause in Oakland, the East Side has a lot to offer… not just great Burritos & Tacos, their blue collar industries are a VALUE.
I had a small stainless steel welding project — the pool filter bracket finally gave way… looks original, so it’s been there since 1963!
I’m no machinist so went Unilocaling, and found MC Radiators & Welding, they fixed me up in 15 minutes, and I got to hang in the shop and watch. It ain’t pretty, but it beats buying a new water filter and having the pool down for a week or so.
Right there on the corner, easy access, quick service, VERY reasonable.

This place is FANTABULOUS!!! Ive brought all my cars here to get work done and come out completely satisfied my Marcelo and his team. He is a realist and will be straight forward with u when telling u what’s wrong with ur car. This prices are good in comparison to other places in the area. The guys are quick! last time I was here, I got my cat converter replaced in and out in less than 30 min flat whoo whoo!!!

I called around to find a shop open on Saturday’s to straight pipe a section of the exhaust on my old Benz. This shop is really straight forward, quick, and cheap. He had me in and out of there in about 30 minutes and did the work exactly as I wanted for just $ 50.
Also, I can’t believe no one has mentioned this yet, but this is the shop where the legendary Bubb Rubb was filmed to show off his Whistle Tips. It just goes to show, these guys will weld up whatever the hell you need to get your pipes worked out.

I just got great service from Marcelo of M C Radiators. My 1993 Nissan Quest’s radiator burst open, spraying fluid everywhere. Sorry about that, Mother Earth!
I drove over to the corner of High Street and E 22^th before I completely seized the engine, and three hours later the van was repaired. With my bike and BART’s Fruitvale station just down the road, I didn’t even skip a beat on all the things I had to get done that day, either!
