He got out as fast as he could (within a day). Gave me a quote and got the job done under the quoted price in under 2 hours start to finish.
The area he trenched would be very difficult to spot if I had not known he had to dig.

Just had a bothersome leaky shower faucet fixed by Andy with Lupian. He arrived exactly on time, introduced himself and immediatley put on booties before coming in the house. He assessed the problem quickly and repaired another issue as well. It was easy to schedule an appt. and they were quick to come out. I highly recommend Lupian Plumbing!

I hired Lupian Plumbing to remove all of my old galvanized pipe and replace it with all new copper piping in a house I was renovating. On the day we had scheduled for him to do the work, a whole team of his workers showed up at my house and worked quickly and efficiently to complete the work faster than I ever could have anticipated. He did a great job on the project and I’ve used him since for multiple smaller plumbing jobs. I would recommend him to anyone who wants quality work at a reasonable price.

Jose and his crew have done three jobs for me — two were emergencies: a leaking water main and a water heater that broke. This was at a house with tenants so I have the pressure of getting the repairs done quickly and thoroughly.
Quality work, reliable, reasonable prices, knowledgeable (that they are pleasant and accept credit cards are the cherries on top)…what more do you need?
Regarding the other reviewers who said they had trouble contacting Jose, My experience is that if you text him, he responds right away. Don’t phone or email.

I was given Jose’s # by a mutual friend that said he’s a great plumber, and reading these reviews, he seems to be. But I m having the same problem as others. HE DOESN’T RETURN MY CALLS. So I guess I won’t find out if he really is as good as other say.

Wow! Jose and his team were so amazing and wonderful. I called yesterday to see about having him repair a few things and install a utility sink in my business. He showed up a few hours later, emailed me a very reasonable quote a half hour after that, and then this morning (next day and on a Saturday!) showed up with a handful of sweet and friendly guys to crank out the entire job in 3 hours! Job over and done without even affecting my business hours.
In 3 hours they
–Installed a floor/​laundry catch sink, a utility sink, switched another sink basin plus all the venting
–Rearranged the direction of the pipes so everything would fit leaving more room in my bathroom
–Capped off a gasline
–Fixed a leaky pipe
–Stopped a running toilet
–Cleaned up the entire job leaving my space cleaner than when they came in
I had another plumber give me a quote (it was more), and schedule and reschedule and reschedule with me. I was expecting the job to be really complicated, but Jose and his team did it so well and fast.
Call him, he’s an ace!

Lupian Plumbing is the rare find– competent, knowledgeable, responsive and reasonably priced. We have used Jose’s services several times for repairs, and have been quite pleasantly surprised at the service and quality.

I am so grateful that Jose Lupian’s team was able to make my shower hot again! After buying a hot water heater from Home Depot, where they promised same day installation (this was at 9am in the morning), I was turned away and told I would have to wait at least a day or two. ASAP Water Heaters, and other installers that claimed to have super quick service couldn’t do a same day installation. I called Lupian and they came out within 1 hour and installed everything and hauled away the old hot water heater in just a few hours.

I had a excellent experience with Lupian plumbing. We are remodeling our bathroom ourselves and needed some plumbing help moving toilet/​shower/​sink pipes to different places in the room.
I didn’t plan very well and called about 30 plumbers on a Wednesday for a job I wanted to be done that weekend. Only 3 called me back and Jose was available and willing to do it. He gave me an estimate over the phone, came by the house late after work one night to check it out and then did it all in a half day on Saturday. I was extremely impressed with the excellent job they did and the price was very reasonable. We even had to add on a few things last minute, which he was wiling to do and had the pipes for. It all looks great and clean and he updated all of our old galvanized steel pipes with copper.
It’s hard to find people you can trust who you feel like aren’t going to rip you off but I 100% trust them and feel so happy I found them. Thank you so much for a job well done! I will be happy to call them with all my plumbing needs.

Lupian has a great reputation — when he shows up. I tried for several weeks to schedule appointments with Jose. A couple times he was a no show. Once he called spontaneously to see if I was available that afternoon (I was busy). Then he simply didn’t return repeated phone calls, texts and emails. I’m sure he does great work but sadly I never got the chance to find out given how unresponsive and flaky he was.

Did an excellent job with 2-​story whole-​house replumb (paleo-​galvanized to copper) all in one day. Brought a full, excellent crew that made it all happen really fast, including the needed demolition and haul-​away. Worked hard to minimize dust & such, very thorough floor protection etc. Don’t let his minimum-​details, round-​number estimate deter you. We agreed on the scope of work and he did all of it and more with excellent attention to detail. Ended up adding a few more tasks along the way that day, no problem, very reasonable rates. Excellent work, competitive price, fully recommended!

Texted them to get our sewer lateral inspected. They couldn’t do it, but responded quickly with name and number of someone who could. Will certainly be calling for any future needs based on this level of integrity and helpfulness.

Just had a great experience with Jose and his crew. I woke up this morning to see water bubbling up from my sidewalk and discovered my water supply line had broken. I contacted quite a few of the 4.5 & 5 star reviewed plumbers, and Jose was the most responsive, accommodating and had a good price to boot. What other companies said would be a two-​day job and potentially require tearing up the sidewalk was conquered by Jose and his 2 assistants in 3 hours flat and with the sidewalk left intact. The job site was left clean and thus far is holding up! I’ll be calling him again for my next plumbing project.

Jose and his crew just left my house. I had my old indoor tank-​based water heater replaced with a new Takagi Tankless T-​TK-​4-​OS outside the house. They arrived on time, ran a proper 1″ gas line from my meter to the unit, removed my old tank, and cleaned up when they were done. This 5 hour job was reasonably priced, the quality of work was excellent, and the attention to detail was obvious.
The worker even put all the drywall that was cut out back in the old closet. I’ll only have to tape and patch/​paint and the wall will be better than new.

Fast & thorough. Felt overcharged, though.

Lupian plumbing is the best plumbing service that I’ve ever used. After having an entire house full of plumbing installed by another company and not being satisfied with the work, when it came time to replace our hot water heater we began searching for alt’s.
After consulting a few plumbing companies, we settled on Lupian based on their plan for the work, the price, as well as their impeccable reputation on Unilocal.
We could not be happier with the work they did. The hot water heater is perfect. While they were there, they also fixed an improperly installed landscaping pipe, and they improved the water flow in our house. Both of those last items were done cost effectively and effectively.
I could not be happier with the work that Lupian did and highly recommend them to friends.

2^nd job just completed by them and we are very pleased with the service, speed and cost.
First job was for a leaking house connection valve and they were able to fix it the day we called. Great job and price.
Second was to run a waterline to our new refrigerator. They spent time discussing all of the options and possible routes for the line. Luckily the framework of the building allowed us to connect via an unfinished section of the downstairs. Once again, same day service, good work and price.

Jose is the best. He just completed the finish plumbing on a bathroom remodel and has become the person that I will always recommend when someone asks me if I know a plumber.
He’s sharp, skilled, and perfectly fluent in English. (I wouldn’t add that last, but I want people to know it.)
My favorite thing about Jose is watching him figure out how he’s going to do something. Today, he stared at the space under the twin sinks for a silent minute and a half then went to his boxes (he seems to have a whole hardware store in his van) and pulled out about 10 things and assembled the final product. Just a lot of fun to see it done right.
As others have said, he’s also reasonably priced. There was a mistake on the rough plumbing, though it really would have been hard to foresee, and Jose didn’t charge me for the work to get it right for the finish. That’s an honest plumber!
