I had my wisdom teeth removed last Friday by Dr. Lin(all four wisdom teeth). Now, I am not one to tolerate ANY kind of pain, so two hours prior to my appointment, I called Dr. Lin’s office and he answered. I asked him if he was going to put me to sleep for the procedure… and he replied, «No.» So I asked him, «Well, then can you put me to sleep?» and he replied, «No, but I can tell by your voice that you are nervous and I want to reassure you that the procedure will go very smoothly and you shouldn’t stress about it.» I said my thanks but I was still very unsure about this whole staying awake while he yanks out my teeth. Dr. Lin is my dear boyfriend’s dentist and he, too, tried to assure me that Dr. Lin was going to be extra careful with me… I walked into the office and met the very VERY friendly and kind receptionist/dental assistant who too tried to calm my nerves, I signed my papers, and headed on in… I asked him to numb me up as much as he could and he asked me several of time, «Are you sure?» and«Are you okay?» By the way, I hate shots. The procedure went very smoothly and they even complemented my teeth for being so straight! After the procedure, I felt nothing, got my prescription for my meds, got my meds, and headed on home. I came back the following week to get myself checked out and everything was fine. As a pain intolerant scaredy-cat, I’m definitely going to Dr. Lin for all my scary dental needs!
