We offer many selections of new toys from Mellissa and Doug, Klutz, and more. In addition, we have the most appropriate gifts for newborns. Stop in on your way to the Baby Shower or Birthday party and we will gift wrap your in-​store purchases!

Often our children’s things are outgrown before they are fully loved. Recycling clothing, toys, and shoes are certainly easy enough and the action reaps many earth-​friendly rewards. We request that when you bring in items that they are ready to sell: Clean, folded, and complete, as relates to clothing, for example.

We opened January 2010 and since have expanded and relocated in The Laurel District.

I was in outside sale for 10 years covering most of Northern California and my hobby was to shop at consignment shops for my daughter. When I was displaced from my company due to a 40% cut I found myself very frustrated at not being in control of my career. This is when my husband and I decided to open Kelly’s Corner, named after our daughter!

This store is my go to for my daughter’s clothes since she was a baby. Jackie is the owner, Kelly is her daughter. The clothes are well organized and she only sells cute and clean second hand clothes at a really good price. Jackie is also a major icon in the neighborhood and has all the low down on new businesses in the neighborhood and good deals. The store also has craft section where you can buy local arts and crafts from Oakland artists. She also offers a story time for kids on Tuesday mornings and a play area. I really appreciate her sense of community and feel lucky to have Kelly’s Corner just a few blocks away from where we live.

What a lovely surprise… needed a nursing bra fitting. Ellen wasn’t there when I popped in but Jackie called her and she appeared 5 mins later. Wow, she really knows how to fit a nursing mama for a bra, something that the fancy department stores (I’ve had nothing but fails with pregnancy and nursing bras from Nordstrom’s) seem unable to relate to. She is extremely knowledgable and was so patient (I had my baby with me, who needed to be picked up a few times). She even offered to hold my baby while I was trying bras on. So glad to have this shop in the neighborhood!

We are so lucky to have this gem of a store in the Laurel. It’s a really great combination of consignment kids clothing, new and used toys, and local artist crafty stuff. Plus Ellen Klima runs a nursing bra fitting business right in the store. The owner and Ellen are both so knowledgeable and helpful… You just tell them what you need and they’ll pull it off the shelf.

Okay this place is awesome! Jackie is fantastic and the new location rocks. Her place is so much more reasonable than the other shops. I drop clothes off and get the credit after they sell. It works and it is great. I love all the new stuff that she is doing as well. She supports new artists and is going to be hosting classes too!
Keep it up Jackie! You are a treasure. We miss you in the Dimond but your new location is far better.

I’ve been shopping here since this location opened. Love the selection of used clothing, lots of handmade and one of a kind. Great toys/​books etc… I dropped off some clothes to consign and the owner was so nice! Knows how to treat her customers well; not pretentious like other boutiques I’ve gone to. Definitely will keep shopping here!!!

I stopped in here when I noticed the balloons shortly after Kelly’s Corner moved to this location. At first I didn’t even focus on the kids’ stuff — I was so taken by the artsy craftsy items she had, made with yarn, paper, buttons and more. So many clever, talented folks.
Ah, but then the grandmother in me woke up and I began to browse the racks. Unable to decide, it was clear I just needed to bring my daughter in to see the options. A few weeks later, we managed to go over together and picked up a number of things, including some books, some hairclips (very cute). She let our 2 year old play behind the counter because the official play area had to be decontaminated after someone’s «accident.» AND, she didn’t even gripe when my granddaughter mixed up all the pairs of shoes. I was looking for some alphabet blocks and the owner offered to order some for me. I don’t know how you can beat that!

Such a great place for kids stuff as well as Artisan Handmade jewelry and treasures. But the cool vintage items are the best feature — this isn’t just a shop for toddler clothing it’s a shop for everyone!

Great new location in the heart of Oakland’s Laurel district, the gift side of the store has hand made artist articles of interest (one wall is dedicated to a rotating artist) and the new toy selection is bigger and better from their previous location. I’m fond of the soaps and cool cards they sell.
Still the low priced high quality of pre-​used children’s clothing; kids really never own clothing, they just rent it while they sprout through early years…
Now there is Ellen’s Booby Trap, a real booboligist that custom fits bras for all women but with a focus on maternity using the Bradley Method according to their flyer.

The new store is great. There’s an excellent selection of used clothes, always in good condition, always nicely sorted and put away. And shoes, usually priced between $ 5 and $ 10. And the toys! Wonderful stuff. There’s an enclosed play area so you can shop in relative peace while your toddler entertains himself.
Recent addition: nursing bras. Good idea.

I don’t have kids, but I find myself shopping here more and more. I’ve bought lots of local, handcrafted item like lavender sachets and soaps, and cool educational toys for my friends’ kids. They carry really high-​quality toys and gifts, and I’ll be buying the Niece and Nephew their Christmas presents here as well.

I couldn’t be more delighted with this new addition to the Laurel district. The clothes and toys are in wonderful condition and priced very well. I really appreciate the play area for the kids. The owner is super nice and very involved in the improvement of the neighborhood. This is quickly becoming my first stop shop.

I have had numerous great experiences here. Thought I already wrote a review, but in checking, I had not! Today, I went in for a swimming suit in 3T, body suits for 12 month, and pants for 12 month. I came out with two swim suits for 3T, 6 body suits for 12 month and 3 pairs of pants for 12 month. All of these things plus more all for $ 30.00. On my way out, I was intrigued by all of the new Melissa & Doug toys that Kelly’s Corner has. I picked up a few to keep in the car. The owner suggested keeping a bag of toys in the car that are used to entertain the kids when out, such as at a restaurant. Brilliant!
Unlike just «clicking» on something through Amazon, I was able to get real world advice on educational toys. So wonderful!
The new store is spacious, bright, and well organized. There is a lot of room to move around, every section is organized by size and then type.
The owner was helpful and well informed. She was not pushy and even showed me a wonderful book and said to get this «next time» rather than suggesting I purchase it right that minute.
I will be back again and again.

We are expecting our first grandchild and my son and daughter in law live in Berkeley so we scoped out some consignment shops in the Oakland area. It is a tiny shop just west of Fruitvale and we found it open on Saturday afternoon after visiting family in Laurel District.
The young man working at the desk was very helpful. We were picking up items to accommodate both sexes as we don’t know if a boy or girl is going to be born.
We found and purchased books and adorable onesies and sweaters. There are toys, monitors, breastfeeding pillow supports, books and all sorts of items for sale.
I look forward to coming back when the baby is born as they have everything organized so well and it is obviously a great resource for young families with children.

Super cute new store in the Dimond District (remember all the fun you had at Oaktober Fest? Well, Kelly’s Corner is located right in that neighborhood – bet ya missed it!).
Her used clothes are so nice and so cheap! WOW! I love running down there for a couple pieces here and there. Some things still have the original tag on them.
Best of all, in my opinion, the store carries the cutest selection of kid friendly gifts. I bought 3 of my friend’s children awesome Melissa and Doug gifts, each appropriate for their respective ages, and it came out to $ 20 something dollars. That’s WITH wrapping! Again, WOW.
I’ll be back again and again!

Jackie (Kelly’s mom) accepts donations that may not be up to par for consignment but would help local families in need and delivers them personally. As new mom-​to-​be of twins, I loved my experience at Kelly’s Corner. I even got to meet Kelly, an adorable 5 year old.
Warning: Jackie’s taste is on the adorable, well-​taken care of, and high-​end brand side at low prices.

My kids and I are sure to stop by Kelly’s Corner after a morning stroll to nearby Peet’s and La Farine. Brands I have found there include: Lelli Kelli, Minnetonka, Oilily, Hurley, and Hartstrings. All clothes/​shoes were gently-​worn (in some cases brand new) and reasonably-​priced. The owner Jackie is friendly and gracious, should you bring in clothes to consign. This cute shop is a wonderful addition to the Dimond menagerie.
