Junebugs Towing and Recovery

Marc was awesome! It was cool seeing him load my bike up onto his truck with such ease. You can tell this guy is experienced and knows what he is doing. He was sent to me by Progressive and I am glad they did. I would recommend his services to any bikers in need of a tow. Thanks again!

This review is 3 years overdue. I bought a 1972 Citroen SM in the Oakland hills. The car had 4 flat tires from sitting in the garage for 20 years! Driveway had a very steep incline that would require someone with the right expertise. I needed a pro to get it out and deliver it to me safely in San Jose. Marc at Junebug’s towing was amazing. He took great care to pull the car our carefully as not to damage it. He was super excited to recover such a neat car and I couldn’t be happier with the service! I would highly recommend him to anyone needing a simple tow or a more complicated recovery.

Marc (Mark? not sure which… let’s go with Marc)…responded early the next morning to my Unilocal message sent at midnight to get a quote to tow my car with a clear quote and the reasoning behind it. And his quote was $ 20 less than the next closest quote I eventually got (and as much as $ 70 less than the highest quote). This wasn’t an emergency, so I told him to work it into his schedule wherever he could, as long as it was there that night so the mechanic could work on it first thing in the morning. He ran into a little difficulty moving my car, but kept me informed about what was going on and got it delivered late in the day, but in plenty of time for me. I love me a sole proprietor who takes his work seriously! I hope I don’t need a tow any time soon, but I’m keeping Marc’s phone number in my contacts just in case.

I strongly recommend Mark and the Junebug team! Very friendly, fairly priced and great service. Mark took the time to show my kids how the truck worked and even let them press the button on the remote to pull the car up on the flatbed. He also called me after delivering the car to the service shop to let me know everything had been taken care of and make sure I didn’t have any questions. Best tow truck experience I have had (and unfortunately, I have had several).

Once again, Marc is the man to call!!!
I had to move my toolbox, so called around to get some quotes from the local guys to tow it from Pleasanton. What I got was, «Sorry we like to keep our tows local» or «Sure I can tow it, but if the wheels start dragging and flatspotting I am not responsible,» or «Sure, but do you have your own straps, because we don’t want the liability with our straps»…HUH???
Marc is «Sure, no problem» He is careful, puts cardboard or towels under the straps, and it is locked down tight. He also knows which way to face your swivel wheels so they don’t drag.
Once again, Marc can tow anything… and never a doubt in my mind that it will arrive safely.

Unilocal is always right 98% of the time.
I thought how is it possible a tow service could even get close to a five!!?
Well, this one is.

Super helpful and pleasant in a less than savory situation of an ill car.

This is the second time I’ve used Junebugs and Marc was extremely helpful both times. Today he towed a motorcycle for me. I also informed him that I had lost my car key and was going to have him tow it to the dealer for me. While he was working on getting into the car, we were talking and he suggested a locksmith that could get me the key for much cheaper than the dealer. Instead of taking the second tow, he saved me a bunch of money.

Marc is the man. He’s not just a tow truck driver, he’s a bonafide motor head. You can’t beat a guy that knows the lingo. I called him after I got into a motorcycle wreck and he was there in a flash. I’ve got nothing but good things to say about him. Rest easy, Marc will take care of you.

Amazing service. He towed my motorcycle to a shop of my choice in the evening and knew the people there, so was able to drop it off securely for me. I did basically nothing.
Generally he’s just a very pleasant person.

I called Mark to see if I would make an appointment to get a car towed this week. He was free today and in Oakland, just finishing up a job. If I could meet him, he could handle the tow for me today.
It was meant to be. He graciously picked me up on the way, as I wasn’t where the car was. And believe it or not, the pickup truck he needed to drop off was going to a repair ship only two blocks away from where my car was parked. He got my car loaded and dropped off so quickly, and gave me suggestions about where I might go to get some work done. And friendly? A neighbor walked by with her little girl asking if it was ok to take a look at Mark’s flatbed, because her daughter loves trucks. Not only did he let her look, Mark went back into his cab, and gave the little girl a brand new little Hotwheel car of her own!
A speedy, efficient tow, and a nice friendly guy, too! What else do you want? You bet I’ll call Mark the next time I need a tow. I suggest you call him, too! (Just don’t call him when I need him!)

He is not the cheapest in the business
But Marc is the guy to get it done, especially of you have a vintage or classic car or just want the best for your vehicle.
Your vehicle will be cared for as his own the whole time and his charm and wit are a treat.

I have a first Gen camaro that has no breaks, steering, or transmission. Safe to assume it doesn’t run — yet. The car was tucked away in the back corner garage of my building that had a sharp 90 degree to the garage from the narrow driveway with a 20% grade, and it needed to be transported to my new place. Jay met with me a week before the job to assess the area he had to work. Promptly confirmed that it was a doable job and arrived on time the day off. The car was out and delivered in an hour. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Marc is AWESOME!!!
My car just died for no reason. It’s sitting in my garage and I needed to get it to my dealership for repairs. I called Marc and he was able to come pick it up within the time he specified. (he even entertained my lil 18 month old toddler!)
He took it to the dealership and even called me to let me know the name of the consultant responsible for my car. Took my creditcard number on the phone to process payment and even emailed me the receipt so that I can send it into my insurance people.
Marc is a full service super awesome guy. I would recommend him to anyone else who needs a tow!

Marc is a super cool guy and is on top of it! Great communication and service with a smile :) I just bought a motorcycle and messed up my gear shift on the first night out, and I totally felt like a heel. We got to talking about riding, which I have no real experience in, aside from taking the MSF course. He made some web recommendations to get me pointed in the right direction as a new rider, and I really found that helpful! I hope to work with him again in the future!

Had a shop break a suspension part that they weren’t too sure about fixing, and so I found another place nearby that specialized in my make of car (Saab) and called Junebug for towing. Great service, he knew where both shops were right off the bat, no hassle. Told him where the keys were, and he was able to have the shop he towed it to add the price of towing to my bill there, making it easy for me.
If you want a tow that is handled professionally and without hassle, call Marc. Definitely keeping Junebug in mind for the future.

Junebugs Towing is amazing! Marc is the most helpful, friendly and caring tow truck driver and business owner you will ever meet.
First time we had to call him my car had broken down near uptown. My boyfriend took care of it while I had to go back to work. He told me that Marc was just awesome and he was really great to work with. He said that after reading all of the Unilocal reviews that he was everything everyone described him as.
Fast forward exactly one week, I get a flat tire on the freeway. I’m not great with directions and I wasn’t sure exactly how to explain where I was (no clear street signs and I didin’t want to leave my car to go looking), but somehow with just a few general descriptions of the surrounding area Marc finds me. First think he says is, «Didn’t I tow this car last week?» «Yes, you did.» He remembered and proceeded to tell me how I can be prepared and safer during these types of car issues. On the way to the auto shop he gives me some background info, tells me about his towing history and some funny stories. He totally calms me down and makes me realize I had been really freaked out.
We get to the auto shop and as he is saying good bye to me he spots a girl who, while riding her bike past us, crashes. Keep in mind this girl’s bike is janky and needs to be replaced. Marc walks over to her and asks her if she is okay. She gets up and says she’s fine. I think most people would then keep walking, but Marc says, «Let me take a look a the bike.» He picks it up for her and sees the issue, grabs tools from his truck and fixes her bike for her. He then lets her know that although he’s fixed part of it, the bike is really old and she should consider getting a new one.
How many tow truck divers have you ever had to use that actually cared about your safety and random other people’s safety? He is just awesome. Hopefully, I’ll never need to use a tow truck again, but I’ve definitely saved Junebugs’ info just in case.

Efficient and professional. I felt safe and had no worries about him towing my car to the mechanic. Arranged where to leave key and he texted when it was dropped off.

And didn’t break the bank with fees.

Marc is the best tow truck business owner I’ve never met.
We coordinated the following, over the phone:
* last minute request to tow my car out of my garage (no key available, parked 90 degrees to egress path)
* drop off and delivery of the car and my electronic key over to the mechanic at the dealer along with my car to be programmed
* confirmation from him that the car was there and with the technician
all so I didn’t have to take the day off of work to deal with a lost VW key.
He is dreamy! Give him all your business!

Marc is friendly and courteous and didn’t take any shortcuts getting my car loaded up and then delivered to my mechanic.
It was a pain to get a stiff webbing strap onto my car’s towhook vs. just clipping on the cable and hook directly, but he insisted to reduce the chance of scratching the bumper with the cable as it changed angles going up and down the flat-​bed.
Highly recommended.
