Established in 2013.
The JULES story was born out of a passion for good food, family & a love of community. John & Jan Ordway envisioned a spacious, modern & comfortable space where healthy, organic food would be paramount, community involvement important, & where employees would have a fun & positive place to work. JULES was created so that everybody would have a great place for a quick & healthy meal.

The Ordways’ concept of creating an alternative pizza concept resonated with Jeff Clapp & his wife who were living in Oakland when John first opened Jules in Doylestown, PA in 2004. With abundant local farms and year-round produce grown just miles away, California was the perfect match for fresh, local, organic thin crust. A partnership was formed & Jules was born in Danville, CA in 2010 & now in Oakland, CA (opened in April, 2013).
