John Corzan Woodworking and Custom Cabinets is a one man furniture and cabinet shop specializing in vanites, audio/​visual enclosures, kitchen cabinets, tables… essentially anything made of wood. I offer personal service from design through installation. I take particular pride in matching styles to seamlessly integrate new amenities into existing décor.

History

Established in 2008.

Originally a sculptor, I’ve been building furniture and cabinets for many years. Beginning in 2000, I started working as a finish carpenter, and in 2005 began working as a cabinet maker for Steve Backes Building Contractor of Crockett, CA. After 3 years with Steve and a brief position in a large production shop, I opened my own shop in November 2008.

Received a Masters in Fine Arts in 1981 from the San Francisco Art Institute. Worked in Facilities Management with a concentration in Relocation Services and Office Construction Administration from 1988 through 2001. Taught Sculpture 2003 & 2004. Worked as a finish carpenter/​installer from 2003 through 2005. Acted as a building contractor’s primary cabinet maker from 2005 through 2008.
