State Farm first started in 1922 and added the State Farm Life Company in 1929. Since we have been providing world-​class insurance and financial services.

Our agency moved to our new space at 1901 Harrison St., Ste 100, Oakland, CA 94 612 March 1st of 2014.

Joe, the agent, brings 18 years of insurance and financial service experience with him, starting his career at Charles Schwab in 1997.

Gabriela Lopez is such a helpful account manager here! When it was time for me to get new insurance she helped me transition smoothly to State Farm by explaining everything to me so I felt comfortable switching companies.
Since switching to State Farm I have had freak accidents happen to my car which but with Gabriela’s assistance I’ve been able to take care of everything with a feeling of reassurance that every decision we make is the best one for me. Insurance agents I’ve had in the past never properly explained things to me and I always felt I was being hustled and paying a high amount of money for below average service.
I’m so satisfied with Gabriela’s service I recommended her to my friend and she set her up with an insurance policy for her new car, I even got a Visa gift card for recommending her to the company.
All in all I am extremely satisfied and secure with Gabriela and this company!

First impression is everything! soon as I walked into the office everyone was friendly and had a smile. Walking into a business that you might go with for Insurance makes your decision even more easier when everyone is friendly, helpful and outgoing! I have been paying 426 $ for my car note for a year and Gabriela was able to get me refinanced with State Farm and now I pay $ 366 a month for my car note. Also I have car insurance with State Farm. I use to pay $ 120 for a car insurance that doesn’t come with road side assistance and etc. I now pay $ 122 for car insurance that comes with road side assistance and etc. also includes renters insurance and flood insurance. Gabriela explained everything to me and also suggested more information that can be helpful for me in the long run! Also Joe is awesome! Very helpful!! Thank you for helping me save money :)

I got my insurance right away from the help of Gabriela! She fully walked me through my policy do I can fully understand. I also got the renters insurance included in my policy. My old auto insurance company just gave me a policy without fully explaining. I appreciate Gabriela’s help, not only did she have patience with me and explained my policy so I can understand incase an incident occurs (God forbid). She contacted me a few days later to follow up to see if everything was alright if I had any questions. The awesome part of it all is how much cheaper I am paying now than my last policy with a different company. Great policy, great service, great price. Thank you!

I have been a customer of Joe’s agency since the beginning. After learning about State Farm’s products, and being quoted incredible rates, I did not hesitate to move all of my policies over to Joe. Auto, Homeowners, Personal Articles, and an Umbrella.
A few months after handling the insurance items, Joe mentioned that State Farm also is a bank, and that he is licensed to broker various financial products as well. Ultimately Joe helped me set up a ROTH IRA. And, this was not a scenario where Joe signed me up for something and I never heard from him again. No, he does follow up. He follows up to see if our insurance and investment needs have changed. This is a GOOD thing. From time to time needs do change, and rather than just idly continuing to renew the same plans and accounts year after year, I personally WANT someone who cares enough to reach out on an annual basis to see if State Farm is still meeting my needs.
Anyway, I recommend Joe to all of my friends, family and colleagues and do not hesitate in doing so. I have heard nothing but great feedback.

I wasn’t a client of Joe’s, but my agent closed his shop and passed me off to him. My renter’s insurance got botched in the transition, but was eventually straightened out. Insurance has been fine since then.
Joe’s staff will cold-​call you regularly to try to set up a meeting to upsell you on more insurance. I’ve never been hassled this much by any of my other State Farm agents. Don’t bother with Joe, there are plenty of other agents who aren’t so pushy.

Met Joe on the #AIDSLIFECYCLE 14 ride this year. Ive been with another carrier for several years. Decided to give him a chance this July 29, 2014. Turns out he was able to give me equal coverage, while saving me over $ 150 bucks a month for everything. I am still in shock. And get this… I have my 19 y/​o nephew on my policies. You should give him a call. Yeah… I know.
