INFERNO Gallery is an exhibition space dedicated to furthering art that is considered to be out of the realm of commercial galleries. We exhibit emerging and established artists. In addition to displaying collections of oddities and objets d’art. INFERNO embraces the outsider, eccentric, and obscure.

We offer a strong focus and wealth of knowledge in helping private and corporate collectors in purchasing and understanding the methods of building an informed collection. In addition we offer consulting and fine art installation services.

History

Established in 2004.

Housed in the Vulcan Studios in East Oakland, CA. The building is an old iron factory that produced a product called R-​MOR EDGE. In honor of the building’s history as a place of burning fires and its location in nether region of Oakland the name chosen for the gallery was INFERNO. Over the years INFERNO has developed into a mainstay in the East Oakland Art scene and has given voice to a wide range of artists.

Business Owner

INFERNO director/​founder artist Gary-​Paul Barbosa Prince has over 20 years experience in the contemporary art world and has also been involved in digital media publishing with the world’s leading brands. He also founded a popular podcast network that educates artists on graphics, photography, video and web design. He is obsessed with making and collecting art.
